It had been a month since her brother had died and Amelia hadn’t left her flat since that day. She hadn’t seen anyone. She ignored it everytime someone knocked on the door. She hadn’t eaten more than toast for a while.
All of that changed the day Will Noble appeared. He knocked on the door, bag of shopping in hand as he raised the other knock on the door “Amy love come on”
“Not here.”
“Oh alright then I’ll use my key” he unlocked her door and pushed it open. Moving to put the shopping away
“How are we doing? He asked as he finished putting the new things away and moved to clear up, opening the curtains to let in some light.
She was curled in a ball on the sofa under a blanket, tears streaming down her face “Oh Amy” he pulled her into a hug “Hey sweetheart I’m here I promise. It’s gonna be okay”
She shook her head “No it’s not. No no no it’s not he’s gone. Cal’s gone.”
Will’s heart broke for her “I know sweetheart I know I’m sorry, but I’m here I promise and I’m not going anywhere.”
“Why would you want to waste your time with me?”
“Hey don’t say that. It’s my time and I can decide. And you are not a waste of it.”
“I couldn’t even help my brother —“
“Amy no it’s not your fault, you couldn’t have known”
If you could bring back one Casualty character, who would it be?
okay so for sure will, which i’ll get onto in a mo, but both bea and jez are very strong second places.
jez was such a fun character, and one of the best bisexual rep i’ve seen in a soap type show. i thought his character was really fresh, didn’t feel like a carbon copy of another as some new characters do. plus, i think him and iain worked very well together.
bea was just brilliant. i’m so sad we didn’t see very much of her. alicia and rash are two of my favourite characters, and she had such great relationships with them both. her storyline with her dad was really touching too. it’s a shame she was just there for a short stint.
overall, it would definitely be will. at some times, he did seem a bit like cal 2.0, but i loved his character so much and would’ve loved for him to get a proper proper storyline. the one with toby was heartbreaking and i loved the internal conflict he had with the issue. his friendship with archie was so brilliant. there was a point where i, and i believe one or two others, had the slightest hope he might’ve been aromantic due to the emphasis on him not wanting to date others, only sexual relationships. i didn’t like him and fenisha, at all. but i thought with longer they could’ve gave him a really decent storyline. i had a few in mind myself that i think could’ve really worked with the character.
i think it’s really unfortunate that through the kind of 2018/19 to 2021 era casualty really underused a lot of their newer characters (i think this was the time period, casualty since about 2018 has all blurred together for me). but alas, i thought wills exit story was quite good, so at least there was that.
The new guy's friends with Ethan AND wears Cal's colour of scrubs?? Is he Will 2.0? Does Ethan go round making friends with guys who remind him of his brother??
