While in a bookstore today, I saw this shelf and my jaw dropped. Inkheart by Cornelia Funke was the first book to absolutely captivate me when I was young. I read it countless times and refused to travel without it for many years. And I read all her books. Flash forward an untold number of years and I'm doing the same thing with Neil Gaiman's books. One of which is right next to Cornelia's on this shelf. It was like looking at my 12 year old self and my current self side by side. A lot has changed. And a lot hasn't.
