Why don't more people write articles about Okkervil River?!

Okkervil River's "It Was My Season" from their upcoming album The Silver Gymnasium out on September 3rd.
I met and saw Okkervil River perform today
I got Will Scheff to sign my copy of Black Sheep Boy.
And when the band and I stood for a group photo Will put his hand on my shoulder just as the guy took a picture so I have this not quite smile on my face because of the shock
A music fan that doesn’t have it in them to find new music anymore is like absolute death to me. I fucking hate when I hear people in their 50s say, ‘I’m too old to change.’ Fuck you, you’re lucky to be alive, asshole. Why don’t you try to grow? It’s a gift to get to be born and not suddenly die of cancer or get hit by a car. One day, you’re gonna be a rotting body in the ground and you’re gonna be like, ‘Wow, I kinda wish I listened to new music from ages 30 to 70.
Will Scheff, Okerville River
Okkervil River, over the past few years, have slowly but surely become one of my favorite bands. Specifcally on Black Sheep Boy, they have found the ability to create songs that really hit me. And Will Scheff, is a beautiful poet and a genius. His lyrics blow my mind with each and every song. I've been waiting to hear I Am Very Far for a while now, and I finally got to listen.
I love it. I really do love this album and it again features songs with such profound lyrics. Specifically the song I post, "Hanging From A Hit". It's so somber and when you read the lyrics while listening to it, it's a wonderful story that could act as a poem on it's own, but the beautiful orchestration behind. The also has some pretty nice upbeat songs like "Piratess" and "Wake And Be Fine".
Black Sheep Boy is one of my all-time favorite albums, but in terms of Okkervil River's discography, I put I Am Very Far 2nd on that list.
