Dear Gus,

Today Bryan and I went with Will Watkins to the roof of the Grand Hyatt hotel at DFW International to get a panoramic view of the airport. The wind was blowing something fierce and at one point I thought we might get blown to our death in what would be yet another St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. But we didn’t, and the footage turned out well. So that’s nice.

Dear Gus,

Bryan and I met up with Will Watkins this morning who is overseeing a massive project at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. Last time we were here, we were standing on the roof of that hotel in the background. We came for follow-up photos and video. We had not counted on it being cold and windy, so we were both out here in short sleeves. 

FUN FACT: Will now lives in Mexico with his Mexican wife and child. They are living in short-term rental houses for two months at a time and traveling the country, spending a lot of time on the beach, and he comes back once a month for meetings and to check in on the project. I’d be lying if I said living with you and Mom and Suki like that for a while didn’t appeal to me. But, the most important thing to me in life is building a community for our little family, and we’re doing that, so I’m happy.
