No Escape (2020)
Escape Room (2017)
Dir. Will Wernick
Six friends test their intelligence when an escape room they participate in takes a dark and twisted turn.
Director Will Wernick said he decided to make this film when his producer pointed out that no films had been made about the popular escape room concept. By late 2021, eight films, including this one, had been released.
Reportedly, the ending confused several audience members.
Elisabeth Hower said she had no problem agreeing to perform the nude scenes after reading the script since her being naked made sense for her character because it was an integral part of the challenge she faced. She was "stripped" of everything she knows, both literally and figuratively.

Practically Nonsensical Mini Review
NO ESCAPE/Follow Me (2020)
Watched a himbo get hate crimed for 88 minutes!!! (not clickbait)
Soooo..No Escape/Follow Me was a less gory Hostel by way of April Fools Day and to a lesser extent, Unfriended: dark web. Honestly, while the commentary was on the nose and the acting was over the top sometimes, ya know, to fit with the vlogger personality but sometimes it felt over tooooo exaggerated. The run time was a plus, and I felt that the pacing was good! Additionally, even though the twist was predictable it was fun and horrible!
The American title of "No escape", feels alot more fitting considering the ending and the implications of what has happened and what our main character now has to live with.
Because honestly, this culture of going bigger and bigger to shock your audience is not sustainable, and in the end, it can only end badly.
Movies set on phones and apps are here to stay and Stay at Home shows they can be fun.
