Samira glances over at Frank, struggling to hold in her laugh.

His short apology isn't entirely off the mark - launching into a tough case he had today wasn't how Samira imagined spending her evening off. She is, perhaps poorly, trying to keep some separation between work and her measly personal life.

"I'm sorry," she says, falling fully into her laughter now. "It's just -," Samira gestures to the facemask colored like a panda slipping down his face. "It's a little hard to take you seriously with that." // @will3nd

Oh, she did not want to be here in the first place. Somehow Frank had twisted her arm enough to get her into the ER, because yeah, she is sick. But she had kind of been hoping someone would immediately tell her she’s not dying and she could leave. God forbid luck be on her side for once.

“I have an irrational fear of thermometers.” She looks at the one he’s holding. “I’m panicking right now.” She’s very clearly not.

rain knew that bobby had a long day at work, just from the way he had come home. she'd tried to get him to go to bed, or at least sit, but he had been determined to cook. things had been like this, since the pregnancy. bobby convinced that he had to carry the whole world on his shoulders, while rain just had to watch.

so when she hears the clatter in the kitchen, she moves quickly.

"oh my god, baby." he hadn't been that far into making anything, and he's lucky in that way. i crouch down, doing my best to get a look at him, and make sure he isn't hurt. that he didn't come home hurt and decide to cook. "take a deep breath, alright?"

I do not care for rpc confession blogs. They not only have some of the most dogshit takes I've ever seen, but nine times outta ten they feel like gulit tripping and vauge posting with extra steps. Like I've been here since I was 18, I completely understand having gripes with the rpc. But there are far better ways to go about it. Gulit tripping randos on the dash to rp with you ain't it, whenever I see a reblog from a confession blog I just roll my fucking eyes. 😔

at the end of every finger, there is a small, raised portion of the skin. it's small, noticeable but not overtly so. if skunk hadn't been looking over every inch of his skin, austin is sure that he never would have noticed them at all. when asked for an explanation, all he can offer is that they're weird birthmarks, places where the skin has just kind of always been like that.

one day, he's going to become a monster in skunk's eyes, but he can't let it happen yet. he knows it's selfish, but... he can't help it.

this guilt only worsens when he watches as skunk presses a little kiss to each and every mark. gently, he holds every finger, searches for that same bump of skin, and kisses it. and austin, every time, holds his breath.

"skunk..." he manages, but he isn't sure what he wants to say. of course he isn't going to ask him to stop. he's a monster. "i'm uh. i'm sure you've got a cool birthmark or two."

this is definitely true, and something nadine had already thought about when asking skunk out to dinner. they take a step out from the closet, and lay their clothes on his bed. “well, yeah, but i’ve also got this.” and from their pocket, they pull out an engagement ring. it looks a lot nicer than it actually is.

“one of us just has to pop this bad boy out, maybe we both cry a little, and dinner is totally free. trust me, it works every time.”

i am 90% sure i found your blog because of one of mothers blogs. i truly do not remember at this point (that was in the spud does not take care of himself era lmfao). all i know is i followed you because i absolutely adored your writing style. i quite literally had no knowledge of emma or hatchetfield / a lot of the other fandoms that you write in. but your voice and your deep understanding for your muses really is what struck me. also just your writing with mother in general. like. you guys create some beautiful stuff. and i could name a ton of your other writing partners i love to read the stuff you write ugh anyway i digress i am getting distracted.

i stuck around because you are you. kori you are an absolute gem to this word you are a delight. you are so easy and fun to chat with and i absolutely adore talking with you. you always make me laugh and smile. i joke abt you and mother / ted and emma being my parents but like. you truly are a person in my life that is always encouraging, always there for me, always supportive. i am so beyond thankful that we met.

even though we do not write a lot together right now (which we will change btw i need to cook on some gravity falls hatchetfield sillies i am not going to lie to you) i could never imagine not following you. you are a fantastic creator and an even better friend <3 mwah mwah i love you buddy (':
