One one hand, I want William and Mycroft to be besties and gossip about their brothers during the three year time skip.
On the other hand though, I could see a lot of angst potential.
Mycroft could be all like "You used my brother and then proceeded to drag him down with you. I despise you" and William would have copious amounts of guilt.
