Throwback to when Billy and I went camping over Fall Break.

The first night, we set up our tent in the dark and we weren't able to get a fire going. I convinced him to walk to another campsite with an actual fire so we could bake a potato and not starve.

The camp we walked to had a really nice, big fire going and a lot of people laughing and having a good time. I asked if we could borrow their fire and they welcomed us warmly.

They were from Chile and they made animated small talk. Now I have not retained their names, but one man was enthusiastic to have us join them and he happily told us that people from Chile are very open in the community and everyone is family. That even strangers as ourselves were treated as good friends. We were given drinks and fajitas and seats.

They were very eager to share some of their culture with us and sang Chilean songs.

It was such a beautiful experience.
