Hasan Minhaj is a brown Muslim man living in the US. What happened to him is racism. Armie is a rich white man. The two cases are NOT comparable.
Hello, Anon:
No one is saying their cases are comparable. I posted it because I admired Hasan Minhaj’s approach to the issue of being misrepresented in the press, which is something that both cases do have in common. Imho, it’s the misinformation surrounding their respective situations, not the specifics of their cases themselves.
No one is denying that Mr. Minhaj was indeed the victim of racism. No one is comparing what happened to him to what happened to Armie, or vice versa, beyond the detrimental consequences of the willful misrepresentation of their individual cases by the press.
FWIW, I posted it without comment.
Thanks for your comment.
