This is #rubybridges ❤️ Ruby was the first African American child to desegregate the all white #williamfrantzelementaryschool in #neworleans #louisiana in November of 1960. She was escorted by US Marshall’s to school each day because of threats made towards her. She was 6 years old. Why would you threaten a beautiful 6 year old child? I look at her pictures and feel sad that this happened. I love her little outfits and they way she looked and dressed. I can’t imagine what she went through or even imagine what it’s like to feel this way towards another human. #thankyourubybridges for going through this so we can all go to school together and grow.
