i love when shows drop subtle hints like that through the directing. the soulmatery vibes are just immaculate

I think all three current ( or just finished) Noorhelm remakes excelled in very different categories, and none of them really had it all together. 

Skam Austin definitely handled Grace’s SA story the best. Everything from the middle of the night clips, to the “little bitch” was great. I felt Grace’s struggle. Considering I did not like Grace at all during S1, S2 was a real surprise. I also did like the girl squad in this Season as well. I just personally did not feel the chemistry between Daniel and Grace as much as other remakes.Like on paper, Daniel was fine, but they weren’t my favorite. Also the whole Megan Shay thing was really gross and unnecessary (if S3 isnt about Shay catch me jumping off a cliff)

Skam NL definitely did the best job focusing more on Liv as a character and on the girl squad. NL nailed and continues to nail female friendships the best of any remake (I said what I said). They also did a good job of making Noah someone who I think Liv would fall for. She’d fall for the art hoe asshole over the traditional bad boy.  However, the reunion/treatment of SA storyline did not make sense. The video vs. photo thing, Noah making Liv apologize, the Wedding dress. Definitely a weak part of the season. Also the whole dead mom thing sleepover was weird. Like I love NL, but that was just a weird thing to do that was never followed up on...

Skam Italia did the best job of the actual relationship part. I believed, like really believed, Ele was in love with Edo and vice versa. Edo is definitely less harsh than some of the other remakes (although he’s still William at the end of the day lol).  However, this season did not really give the girl squad justice or focus on the friendship at all or give us a lot of Filo.  I love Edo and Ele, but this season was so zeroed in on them that there was no breathing room in the season. Also they never followed through on some of their changes like the whole Sylvia thing. I do think they could have handled parts of the SA better, but they def handled some parts really well like the Marta scene and Edo apologizing before the reunion. But there were really weak parts of this season.

All three had great parts, but there hasn’t been one remake that’s put it all together. They’re all flawed, and people are going to have preferences and things that are more important to them. So everyone just needs to chill about bringing different remakes down cause they all failed in some parts.  I really like S2 of the OG which isn’t always a popular opinion, but its very very flawed and NO remake has been able to really “fix” that because its just inherent to the story.  it’s totally fine if people don’t watch S2. SA can be triggering and many people see their past abusive partners embodied by the Noorhelm relationship. I enjoy Noorhelm but if people don’t watch to watch it that’s fine. 

BTW- I don’t really think you can compare Alex and Druck S2 in general to these. Alex was def great in his response but the SA part of the story was VERY different in Druck, and I personally felt like the SA story was not given justice in Druck just as much as it’s never given justice in the other remakes either. I mean it was crammed into those last episodes and was not given room to breathe. Like I don’t think Druck gets a free pass either because how Alex and Mia got together is just as “toxic” (for lack of a better word) as any of the other Noorhelms. So I don’t think you can say winterberg is any better than the others.

skam austin is by far my least favorite remake and noorhelm is by far my least favorite couple (maybe second behind that brief jonas/emma thing) but damn... they really did that morning scene. the pillow fight, “go brush your teeth”, when daniel closed his eyes to pretend he wasn’t looking at her. ughhhhh. i want to hate them so bad.
