Maybe "grant" wasn't the best word. The god of (asshole) light promised he would proclaim mankind unfit/unredeemable if they were not united upon their summoning. If they wipe out humanity for good, Salem WAS to be killed, or else he wouldn't be erasing mankind for good. It would be Salem spatting in their faces, in a way. If they kill her, they would be breaking their first promise (that "understand the meaning of life" hypocritical nonsense), if they don't they would be breaking the second.
i mean its not like its out of character for that dickhead to leave her alone on an empty planet for eons
First colored image of Eulrik, the very first Langurhali. He's one of the original Elders and renowned by many as the King. It's his image shown on the sigil that is seen all around Willora. I like to imagine him as acting very kingly and is kind but has no idea how to lead. I'm gonna probably be sharing a lot more worldbuilding stuff for Willora. I've been recently fueled by spite and rage on top of the encouragement and support from my loved ones to keep writing. <3
Lol, true. I just really want to know what Salem wants from all of this. Keeping mankind divided forever or some higher gole? I'm leaning into the last but I can't begin to fathom what it is.
fair
Idrown/fishes just refused to take his post out of the bb tag, what an asshole
what a fucking prick
* I don't know how/when I put anon on the first ask 😅
no worries
Langurhali DNA + ...uh...
I was asked an interesting question over at Willora today and thought I'd share the answer with you guys, for those interested in my species. :) Question: I was thinking about making a Langurhali character but was curious if they were always made up in one thirds. Ie: 1/3 feline/human/x. Or if they could be made up in quarters. Ie: 1/4 feline/human/dragon/willora or another plant of some sort. Also How do they use the bathroom? [/QUOTE] Willora is the place in which they live, and the Willow tree was what created them, so technically they all have part of the Willow inside them already :) it would be interesting to see a Langurhali with obvious physical traits taken from the Willow, if that's what you mean! I imagine it is possible (if rare) that they can take on more than three, and it makes sense if the fourth be a plant. The Willow gave the Langurhali the emotions, intelligence etc. of humans and the flexibility, strength and beauty of felines, and combines each one with a different third animal so that it may retain more of an instinctual nature as well as take on its beneficial attributes. I imagine adding a plant gene would make a "normal" Langurhali more resilient, able to take nutrients from the sun & water as a main energy source, and even more in tune with nature. They don't defecate/urinate, as anything they eat is grown by the Willow, which means all plants, animals, fungi, etc. are packed full of nutrients and everything gets absorbed. The biology of everything from the planet the Willow is from functioned quite differently from on Earth; everything was far more "clean" and "perfect". The Langurhali did not exist on this planet but another did before it died off. The Willow kept aspects of them in creating the Langurhali, but the original species is far different. They were smooth-bodied, had amazing psychic abilities and didn't even need to eat anything at all. But when the Willow created new life on Earth, it absorbed the genetic information from plants and animals surrounding it, which incorporated the biology of Earth species into the Langurhali. Thus the mutations, strange and complex method of breeding, etc. But they still retain some advantages from the genetics of the old species, such as using all nutrients from the foods they eat and aging so slowly. They still have internal organs, only their intestines are longer than a human's or any other animal's, meaning the food gets more time to be completely absorbed. --- If anyone has any Willora/Langurhali-related questions for me, I'd be happy to answer! Their world is still evolving so answering questions actually helps me a lot to add on to it, fix things that don't make sense (I'm no genius about genetics or whatnot but I like the idea of them being at least somewhat believable) and ponder aspects that I might not have thought about before :)
