It's not a need of course, I'm aware it hurts a lot more than most people like, but it would be..... nice." Will explained, looking away from Hannibal's face and fixing his cuffs, the underlying tone of 'I don't know if I've earned such a thing,' meshing with his words.

"Would I have the opportunity in return?" Hannibal asked, brow raised as he considered Will and his request. Naturally he wasn't going to deny him, but he could at least request the terms ahead of agreeing outright, even if his agreement was already assured.

“A request… your hesitance gives me pause, but you know I would do anything for you, Will. What is it you require of me?”

"I.... It's kinda complicated, but it's a thing I'm doing for myself mostly. Everything is alright, I just need to check some things and I wanted to visit home." He was missing things in his arguably horrendously vague explanation, but he just..... Will knew the whole thing was unbelievable, a struggle to understand, and he didn't wish to rock anything, not so soon after fixing things and finally getting them to stable land by admitting something he couldn't immediately prove.

He didn't have his coat on him, and it was both annoying and sort of painful to do on land, so it'd probably involve roping Hannibal into coming to a nearby lake with him and sitting there until he turned, and even then there was no guarantee he wouldn't just think he was hallucinating, as had been the case in the past with other humans. Whatever the case may be, it wasn't a thing he could do right now most likely, and so he offered this in its place.

"You and I are both no strangers to 'complicated,'" he mused softly, eyes roaming over Will's features. "It almost sounds as if you are inviting me along." He couldn't be sure, as vague as Will was being about whatever it was he needed to do, but... why else would he have approached Hannibal outright, rather than simply sending him a text once he'd already left as he so often did?

"Dr. Lec-.... Hannibal." He corrected himself, looking faintly nervous. "I um, I wanted to talk to you about something. I'm going to be out of town for a week, maybe two." [I am. an impatient fuck, and I changed some of my canon, it doesn't have to be in our canon though if you don't want it to be. I'm setting this like after Will heals from the guttening though [and I'm responding to that right now, my brain's flowing again :>]]

[not to worry, I am also an impatient fuck!! it's one of my best traits actually (me when I lie, it is a Bad trait in me); mattie bby is pretty busy td he said! so once we get to a certain point in the other one we can take a pause until our schedules align :P ]

"Hello, Will," Hannibal returned, pleased at the other man's use of his first name, amused at his self-correction. "I see. Is everything alright?" It was unlike Will to leave for such a long period of time. Perhaps he simply did not want to see Hannibal for a while... which naturally Hannibal was hoping was not the case, but it remained a possibility.

Will rolled his eyes once more, a dark flush betraying him. "You are in no state to be making comments like that Dr. Lecter." He grumbled, kneeling in front of him regardless and untying his shoes, pulling them off and setting them to the side neatly. "Another way would be just asking, when you're not high and hallucinating." He stood, wincing internally at the grind of his knees. "You should lay down, I'm uncertain how long these things last, so perhaps sleeping it off would be the best course of action."

"On the contrary," he asserted, watching Will as he slipped one shoe off his foot, then the other. "I am in the perfect state to be saying things like that. I'm far too polite to say them without an excuse." He reached out his hand to brush his fingers through Will's curls, again taking advantage of his excuse to do so. "I find I enjoy innuendos of many kinds, so long as they are aptly witty." From cannibal jokes to sexual ones, they amused him to make.

What is your opinion on this post, Dr. Lecter?

A low chuckle escaped him as he read the words. "Will and I would make for an attractive pair, I suppose, although I doubt he would be comfortable with anyone besides Matthew watching such an act. I'd need to be certain that he wasn't upset with me, however, before I let his mouth stray to such places."

Hey! Are you allowing Will to own as many dogs as he did before? If yes, are you jealous that Will gives them more attention? If no, does Will miss any of them, especially Winston?

"I would never dream of depriving Will of his pack," Hannibal sighed, shaking his head very slightly. "As... distasteful as I find the hair, I nearly don't mind the other aspects of owning pets, albeit the growing number of them is worrying to say the least."

"With that said... relationships of all kinds involve compromises. My allowing Will his pack is simply one such example. Will pays me the attention I am owed... usually. I have my methods of achieving my ends, in those moments when I feel neglected."

“It would seem a waste, to me at least, to consume too much of it without preparation. Perhaps I’d eat a small section raw, but the rest would insist upon being implemented into the finest meal I have yet created — not a single piece of him would go to waste, I assure you,” Hannibal assured the stranger, suppressing something of a smirk. “His whole brain would be far too large to eat in one bite, like a tapioca pearl. It’s an intriguing thought, however — I can practically imagine the taste and texture on my tongue.”
