since i’m on the note of wimberley dying, i Gotta talk about how jer would deal with it.

first of all, goldie would be his first priority. point blank. as soon as he would hear the words that wim was gone, there isn’t a single goddamn thing that would stop him from getting to his daughter as fast as he humanly could just to hold her and make sure she knew he was there now. he would more than likely quit the show to move home to austin and raise goldie himself, because while it’s a little too late, he’d finally realize that he fucked up in not being around more. and, he wouldn’t be a terribly bad dad from then on. yeah, there’s no way to make up for only seeing your kid a few times a month for nine years, but it’d be a cold day in hell when he leaves goldie alone without wimberley there.

second, he wouldn’t try to pull any paranormal bullshit if wim died, because he knew she didn’t believe in it and that she just didn’t fucking like it. he wouldn’t try to “contact her” or see if her energy was still there. he sure as shit wouldn’t tell goldie that her mom was still hanging around as a spirit.

but, as the backbone of it all, he would be heartbroken. he would have a mountain of regrets about how he treated her, and about how he didn’t love her the way she deserved, and he’d never forgive himself. and, he would fuckin’ miss her.

jeremiah’s  tattoos,   a  running  list :

- “goldie” in cursive following his left collarbone. he got it when goldie turned one in 2008. - “three.two” just below his right palm on his wrist, another tattoo for goldie, as she weighed 3.2lbs when she was born. he got this when she was was around six. - the milky way on his right shoulder blade, yet another tattoo for goldie. he got it when she turned ten, because he always tells her “you’re the sun, the moon, the stars, and the universe that holds them” - a cartoon ghost with sunglasses on. it was drawn by a fan and he thought it was pretty darn cool. - “hello” in small, traditional type at the back of his left elbow and a matching “goodbye” on his right. definitely a reference to ouija boards. - a cheesy gordita crunch with “saved by the bell” in the tortilla on the outside of his left ankle. they’re his fave???? he was also very drunk when he got it and barely remembers getting it - a gothic style headstone with “live in peace” on it on the back of his right calf. edgy, right? - a skeleton hand making the rock on symbol at the bottom of his ribs on his right side. big we will never sleep cause sleep is for the weak and we will never rest til we’re all fuckin dead energy - a medieval era sword on the back of his right arm with the words “the core of me in your hands” down the blade. no one knows the real meaning of this besides wimberley, because it’s specifically for her. it’s a vague reference to a certain chapter that talks about lancelot and guinevere in the powerbook by j.eanette w.interson, her favorite book. he doesn’t actually get this until he’s been sober for a year. he knows he wouldn’t be alive without her. she brought his daughter into the world. it has several meanings, but in general, she holds everything that means anything to him. she let him get it with little convincing.

a thought: arlo gives wimberley a lot of shit for giving jeremiah another chance, especially in knowing jeremiah was on drugs. he’s always had very little patience for (hard) drug users, and he’s always had very little patience for jeremiah in general. it’s very possible that arlo never gives jer a break, and he makes that clear to both wimberley and jeremiah himself. i can see him telling wimberley that trying to be in a relationship with jer is just gonna blow up and get both her and goldie hurt, and obviously that doesn’t fly with wim. he says it as a big brother, but, she takes it as him criticizing her parenting--- and maybe he was doing that, on some scale. so, she tells him to go fuck himself. this causes some real tension between her and her brother, and she doesn’t really speak to him for months. when goldie stays the night at his house, something she does once or twice a month, it’s milly who she makes the plans with. the event that makes her look past his comment is when he gets shot in september, a whole five months after their fight. still, jeremiah never truly wins his spot in arlo’s approval, but that’s just because arlo’s an asshole.
