Diary of a Wimpy Kid was certainly something that existed, once upon a time. Probably still exists, I don’t know. It’s like. Fine? From what I remember? I think it spawned the “I’m sorry women” meme. Got to be honest, all I know about Diary of a Wimpy Kid besides my vague memories of reading it sometime in elementary school was like, the fact that the author of Diary of a Wimpy Kid is on twitter and has an indescribable aura of sadness to his posts that kind of reminds me of like, the archetype of the sad clown.
The reason why I have typed all that out is that I have to tell you all about WIMPSTUCK, which is exactly what you think it would be when you read that title. The premise is, for the sake of clarity, “what if the characters from DIARY OF A WIMPY KID played SBURB?”
And props to it; from my vague memories of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, it seems to be doing the style of the art and the way that the pages like, physically look from the book seems to be also the same? Which is cool, I’ve got to admit.
But listen. If you haven’t gathered from that intro, I’m not particularly fond of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, so. Yeah. I didn’t exactly pay attention to reading this one, if I’ve got to be honest in these notes. I like the way that it takes after it’s OG crossover’s like, stylization instead of just slapping Diary of a Wimpy Kid characters into Homestuck’s structure, but that’s about it.
