Life on the farm is very slow and leisure most of the time; especially with Mathilda and Frederick doing all of the work.

The Mr and Mrs have been working hard at trying to grow their family. Meanwhile, Mathilda has developed a bit of a crush on the hard working farmhand. She has been offering to help out with the garden a lot more than usual.

It was a stressful night but Helena eventually gave birth to a healthy baby girl they named Ruth Margaret Winchester. Ruth is Helena's middle name which is also her mother's name and Margaret is the name of Charles' mother. Charles and Helena were beaming with joy at becoming parents for the first time. She was their dream come true.

A beautiful stray dog has been coming around the farm and Lady seems to be in love with him.

I want them to have puppies but we'll see what happens.

Frederick had been brushing off feeling sick for some time but eventually one night around 3am he was forced to see a doctor. The doctor informed Frederick that his appendix had burst and it was a good thing he called just in time. Mr. Winchester asked why Frederick didn't say something about feeling sick. Frederick let him know that he doesn't like to complain and didn't want to be a burden over nothing. Charles assured him that his health was very important and he was never a burden. Charles paid for Frederick's medical bills and told him to speak nothing of it as he was appreciative of all his hard work and it was the least he could do.

Helena Ruth Winchester announced to her husband that she was pregnant with their first child.

That wouldn't be the only new addition to the family this year. Chanticleer also became a proud father in the wee hours of the morning. Welcome, Chicken Little. 🐣

Days on the farm are pretty routine and peaceful. The Winchesters live in leisure as their staff takes care of all the household chores. They have recently been trying for a baby.

Mathilda White came from a very poor family who could not afford to keep her living at home. When she turned 16 she was hired by Charles' father and mother to cook and clean as a live-in housemaid. Now at 20 years old, she has moved with Charles and his new bride to the farm to continue providing service to the Winchester family line. Her father and mother have since passed away and she is unsure what became of all her siblings. She always dreamed of going to school but it just wasn't in the cards for her. She has learned to find her joy in cooking.

Frederick Bennett is an orphan who grew up on the streets. He lived a rough and tumble life and survived by stealing and fighting. When he was in his teenage years he was given a second chance. He was about to be tried as an adult and locked up in jail but the judge had mercy on him and sentenced him to community service instead. The judge saw him for what he truly was - a hungry, scared, and lonely boy. Frederick learned to work on a farm and take care of animals and crops. He found he was good at it and the hard work made him strong and able to release his frustrations. He found comfort in the love of animals who are much more kind to him than people. When Charles and Helena moved to the farm, they hired Frederick to help maintain things. He is fitting in just fine and Lady just adores him.
