Okay, what really piss me of Winchesteres about is how they are fucking blind. They totally do not notice and appreciate how much Castiel devotes them. Like, he is in a middle of a f u c k i n g c i v i l w a r but still he comes every fucking time they call him and he do whatever they want him to do. And I do not remember if they thanked him at least once, they act like they just deserve all of this.

I guess because they’re all incredibly old names, the shortened versions of them kind of… evolved over the past several hundred years? I will very happily admit that the whole english language is bizarre. lots of english words have evolved in very strange ways so I suppose it makes sense that english (nick)names would evolve in strange ways too? if that makes any sense… (it made sense in my head at least!)
