       The raven let out a soft sigh as he nestled himself closer to the blond, amber eyes slipping closed slightly. It had been too long since Vanitas and Ventus had spent time together, and he’d be damned if he let it end so quickly. So of course, when he felt the blond move, Vanitas pressed himself further against Ven to keep him still.

           “ Of course... anything you want. “

      The reply was soft spoken as a small smile appeared on the raven’s face. To spend more time with him, Vanitas would give the blond the world. Such a sharp change from the way he used to be.

“Yo, kiddo. This ain’t a good place to be sleepin’.” Reno said from his crouched position and gently shook the blond’s shoulder. How in the worlds someone was able to sleep while there were Heartless running around was beyond him. “If ya need to catch some shut eye, ya need to do it somewhere safer yo.”

          Vanitas didn’t have the slightly clue as to what was going on, or what even started the argument. He wasn’t even sure what Ventus was even mad at him for. As far as he knew, Vanitas hadn’t done anything. It had all happened so suddenly.

          The blond had walked into their home, same as he did most days. This time, rather than sit down and talk, Vanitas was met with the yelling of the blond, Vanitas almost thinking Ventus was going to hit him a time or two. What the hell had happened?

           Then, in the midst of it all, Vanitas was met with a rough kiss from the blond, to the point he felt his lip split in two places, blood trailing down to the skin just underneath them as Ventus pulled away from him.

                     “ Mad at me? Ventus what did I do? You never do this, ever. “

                     “ now how did I know you were going to say that. ”  harvey laughs at nightwing’s spirit, his hope, his light hearted quips. it was easy to like dick. he had only known him as bruce’s ward, way back when the two were tighter than two peas in a pod all their own. he wasn’t so short anymore. harv patted his palm over the other’s shoulder as he exhaled and watched his breath in the winter’s eve.  “ you are going to make someone very lucky one day, kid. ” he remembers falling in love. it was head over heels at first sight, a sparkle in his eye lit by the fireplace embers that reflected in gilda’s shiny skin. “ bruce introduced me and my wife, you know. your old man has an eye for these kinds of things I guess. ”       maybe he should ask bruce for another introduction now that he’s a widower... but then again... “ you’re gonna do great. ”

     The comment brought a soft smile to the raven’s face, arm wrapping around the blond’s frame. True be told, it was the same for him when it came to Ventus. Before, Vanitas barely slept, nightmares always plaguing him throughout the night. With Ventus… the nightmares stopped.

            “ Is that so, Ven? I never would have guessed.”

      The words were covered with a low chuckle, the raven nuzzling into the others hair.
