It is with much pride and hard work that Community Food & Outreach Center can share that our Inaugural Quack Attack on Poverty 5K Presented by The Orlando Solar Bears was a total success! 268 runners, joggers and walkers and 60 volunteers woke up before dawn and started their Saturday off right by raising funds and awareness to attack the issues of hunger, homelessness and poverty in Central Florida. The 3.1 mile course in scenic Baldwin Park featured squirt gun, bubble and quack zones that encouraged and motivated participants who wore inflatable duck pool floats around their waist. Thanks to the hard work and efforts of the participants and the generosity of our Presenting Sponsor, The Orlando Solar Bears, and our Gold Sponsors, Winderweedle, Haines, Ward & Woodman and Burger King, the Inaugural Quack Attack raised $25,837! A big thank you to the runners, volunteers, sponsors and spectators who made our inaugural race a quackin' good time!
