Florida Frontiers “The Windover Dig” via Florida Historical Society
In 1982, bones were found outside Titusville, Florida, during the construction of a new subdivision, Windover Farms. Archeologists from Florida State University were brought in and conducted three digs over the course of several years. More than 200 separate burials were found which dated between 7,000 and 8,000 years ago.
