The monsters who own Youtube seem to be getting more and more aggressive about limiting third party access. invidious has been getting spottier. It'll connect for one video, but when I go to change videos, every subsequent video will throw a 403 error. I have to change instances entirely. This is a known issue.
Freetube is the same, since it's just a desktop UI. Its saving grace is Ctrl+Shift+R will cycle through a randomized masterlist of invidious instances so I don't have to. Or I can change the instance manually. It's still obnoxious that having a usable internet is now an arms race between major corporations and hobbiests.
