Don’t you guys think that the users are becoming smart, the market is changing fast, the tech is changing fast. And hence companies have to push themselves to keep up with the pace of the ever-changing market, with the ever-changing tech, or else what they have triumphed over the years may just become history.
Yes, the market is changing faster than ever, the tech is changing faster than ever, the users are becoming smarter than ever. And with this windows has come up with its new OS.
Yes, you heard it right, the windows is coming up with a whole new OS. I don’t know if you feel this or not, but this is a long due update of windows, which should have launched years ago.
But better late than never, Microsoft has announced windows 10X, which will be their new windows software going forward with Windows Core OS. Which means that win32 apps won’t be running at the launch time.
But hey, don’t worry they have assured us that win32 apps support will arrive sometime later.
Microsoft team has really worked well on the user interface side, everything will be in a redefined look. They have made the UI very clean, very simple, and that to with enhanced security. Plus we all know it was such a pain to update our laptops as of now, but not anymore, in their new version updates will be downloaded and installed while we are using our laptops and just a regular restart will enable the updates on our laptops, so much easier. So kudos to that.
But the question arrives here why now? After so many years why do windows needed to do this now?
What I think is that they are facing a lot of competition from chrome OS, and MAC OS, that it was more of a necessity than an option. By doing so they can now have a better shot at convertible laptops, and even on dual-screen tabs.
Disappointingly this new software will only be available with their new machines. Which they claim will be launching sometime between March and June 2021. So old users won’t be getting any official update for Windows 10X, we will have to format our machines to get their latest software. I am certainly not happy with this decision as I use Microsoft Surface Laptop 2 which I purchased just a year back. And yes I am a tech enthusiast as well. So I am eager to get my hands on their new OS. But I guess I have to wait for Microsoft to get a usual update for the old machines as well. Those of you who want to see how this new OS will work can check their emulator, the link is given below.
