On Feb 11, 1805 Sacajawea gave birth to Jean Baptiste Charbonneau nicknamed Pompey by William Clark of Lewis & Clark fame. Clark was also the one to deliver the baby. This baby joureyed with the expedition and would later, with Clark’s help, grow to be well educated and well-traveled.
