1.Favourite quote or saying?

This changes fairly frequently. At the moment, it’s probably “I am enough. And I always will be” courtesy of Tahereh Mafi. 

2. If you died tomorrow, what would you miss?

I’d probably be upset about not being able to accomplishing everything I had planned for my life. 

3. First author that pops in your head?

Cassandra Clare. Probably because I just finished rereadin g the Bane Chronicles today. 

4. Favourite animal and why? 

 Because they are simultaneously majestic and stupid.  

5. If you could be any fictional character who would it be and why?

Juliette Ferrars, because even after all the shit that she went through, she got a perfectly happy ending. :) With a really hot guy, I might add. 

6. Mozart, Beethoven or Chopin?

I literally don’t listen to enough of them to be able to even tell a difference. I don’t think I even know of any Chopin.  7. Eye colour

Gray-blue

8. First song/album/artist that comes to mind?

Fall Out Boy, probably because they’re my fav. 

9. Something you regret?

I don’t regret things for long enough to remember them. I realize that I didn’t like what I did, tell myself not to do that thing again, and then forget about it. 

10. Assuming you have any single ingredient in the world, what dessert would you create/make?

Probably a really decadent cheesecake, akin to something you’d see in Cheesecake Factory.

Another Book Tag

I was tagged by windsofwesteros, thanks dear :) And anyone who wants to do this tag can, because I’ve been tagging a lot of people recently.

1. High or Contemporary Fantasy?

I like both, but I like to read and write high fantasy more often.

2. What Genre do you Read Most?

I mostly read Fantasy

3. Do you own any Fandom Merchandise?

Yep. I used to be really into Twilight, so I have a lot of Twilight merch. But lately, I’ve gotten a lot of THG and Shadowhunter merch (especially when City of Bones came out a few years ago). 

4. Fictional Place You Wish Was Real?

Terrasen or Idris

5. Do you Read/Write Fanfic?

Yep absolutely :) You can find all of my fanfics either in the My Writing section of my blog, or on my Wattpad.

6. How many books do you own?

A lot. Over 500+ I’m pretty sure. One of these days I need to reorganize and count them all, but until then I’m just giving a rough estimate. I count 300+ from where I’m sitting right now.

7. Was there ever a point in time you didn’t like books?

Yeah I didn’t really get into books until I was in the 7th grade (when I started reading Twilight and Percy Jackson). Before then, I wasn’t a big fan. The only books I read before 7th grade (and this was 7 years ago) were the Magic Tree House books.

8. Pick a book-loving character? (e.g. belle from beauty and the beast)

Tessa Gray from the Infernal Devices Trilogy. I absolutely love her and she has to be my favorite character (right alongside Magnus Bane and Celaena).

9. Do the rest of your family love reading?

Just my dad, but he reads really slowly and doesn’t like all of the romance that I do.

10. If you were stuck on a desert island (dying), and you only had a scrap of paper to describe your whole life, which book title would you write down?

Probably...Fangirl (even though I haven’t read Fangirl yet).

11. Have you ever had a book crisis?

I’m not sure what this means by book crisis, but I have had times where I haven’t been able to read absolutely anything and been in a book slump of sorts, or where I’ve read a bunch of books, but none of them really stick with me. (Throne of Glass actually got me out of a book slump earlier this year).

physical book or ebook: Never really tried an ebook, but I don’t think I’d want to. I love the feel of paper and print beneath my fingers, the spines arranged prettily on shelves, the easily destroyed but forever immortal pages.

audiobook or in hand: In hand. I tried my first audiobook a few days ago, and it takes so much more concentration that regular reading, not to mention I think it takes away from the personal connection one has with the piece.

paperback or hardcover: Literally the only thing I like better about hardcovers is their appearance and how much better they are for taking pictures. I prefer reading paperbacks, and they’re cheaper too! The one issues is that books generally come out in hardcover first, so if I want to get sequels within a year of their release date, I have to get hardcovers. :/

adult or young adult: Young adult all the way. Haven’t begun exploring the adult section much, but I’ll have to start soon...

series or standalone: I actually like both for different reasons, and in different ways. I prefer series, but I would take a well-written standalone over a poorly-written series any day. 

dog ears or bookmarks: Dog ears! I dog ear all my books; I feel like it proves that they’ve been well-loved over pristine, unmarked books.

breaking the spine or barely opening the book: Breaking the spine, for reasons described above. 

borrow or buy: Borrow everything first, then buy all those I love. 

bookstore or online: Online things are cheaper, so...

fiction or nonfiction: I spend the school year reading nonfiction, why would I want to do that for fun?

fantasy world or real life issues: Why would I bother spending hours in the same world I already live in?

kindle, ipad or other: None?

monster read or short and sweet: Anything between 300-500 pages is generally my sweet spot. :)

starry eyed romance or full of action: Both.

read the review or decide yourself: Decide myself. Books were made for reading, not for sitting there and being judged. 

zombies or unicorns: Neither. Fey all the way.

my plan is!!!! to finish assassins blade by this weekend, then start shadow and bone, which i do have, before i go to geekycon next weekend and get that signed (!!!!!!!!) thennn finish the grisha trilogy then start raven boys gosh I hope I can finish grisha and raven boys before qos comes out but i don’t know if Iican because i had a good interview today and i might have a job soon so i gotta balance job with writing and reading instead of just writing and reading. this got long quick.

If you had to kill one of your favorite protagonists from one of your favorite books, who would you kill? (THIS IS SO CRUEL SORRY)

WHAT HOW I CAN’T WHAT EVEN HOW COULD I KILL SOMEONE. How can I… I am literally laying in my bed and staring at the ceiling and trying to think..

No, no matter what I say, it is terrible. (I would cop out and say Harry Potter but I can’t lie- I’m not a big fan of Harry himself so that would be cheap)
