Hello Windsor Bay family!

I've been keeping everyone in the group up to date on my personal updates via our discord server. And I just want to say thank you to everyone for their patience as I've been going through such a difficult matter. As I touched base on in the ooc discord, we're going to do a little interest check. Just since things have been a little up in the air and activity has dwindled down. With this interest check, all you need to do is LIKE THIS POST and SEND IN A NEW APPLICATION. This is only to make life easier on the admin side so we can be sure we have all the most up to date information, since there is room for shifts and changes amid everything. If your character already has their bio edit posted (click here for example), then just fill out the top portion of the application and leave out the interview portion.

You're welcome to keep all of your current characters. Of course you're welcome to drop, switch, and revamp your muses in any way you see fit, since now is the perfect time to do so. The deadline to like this post and send in your apps is this Thursday February 12th. Any accounts that do not participate will be unfollowed on the activity check. If you are a potential applicant looking for a new group to call home, please feel free to submit your applications as well! All applications will be accepted periodically at admin availability and activity can continue as usual.

Hello lovely members of Windsor Bay! We just have a quick note that we want to make. It's been brought to our attention that there is a possibility of AI being used to formulate replies. We do not have any official rules banning the use of it, simply because we as admins feel like it defeats the purpose of what we as writers do here. This is our outlet and safe space to type our ideas out and delve deep into the character development of our muses. While AI can sometimes be a helpful source to gather ideas, it should never be used as a "quick and easy way to do replies". Not only is it not fair to those putting in the time and effort into their writing, but it's not fair for that writing to then be plugged into an AI generator to formulate a response in return. This is simply a warning for the time being. If we find that the problem is persisting, we will take the steps forward to officially add it into our guidelines. Hey everyone! We just wanted to share a small update about how we’ll be running things the group from here on out. As admins, we love being apart of the writing side of this group just as much as we enjoy keeping things organized, and we want to make sure we’re able to do both without burning ourselves out. To help with that, we’re going to start using set admin hours. Most mod tasks, like apps, questions, and general updates, will happen Monday through Friday from 6 PM to between 10 and 11 PM, and on weekends when we’re available.

Applications will be accepted on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with occasional weekend acceptances dependent on our schedules. If you send in an app outside those times, it will be added to the app count until next acceptance day. Weekends are also subject to having any applications accepted but they may be placed on the app count until Monday, so even if we’re on the main please be checking the app count!

We also wanted to let you all know that our first activity check will be this Sunday, late afternoon. Since this is the first activity check of the group we wanted to give everyone a small heads up, going forward, unless around before or after a holiday, we won’t.

Thanks so much for understanding and for giving us the space to keep admin work manageable while still enjoying writing with all of you. We really appreciate this community we’ve watched grow and everyone in it. ❤️

Hello Windsor Bay family!

I just wanted to make a post discussing some things. As you can see, activity has dropped off quite a bit. I know quite a few members have had a lot of things going on in their personal lives, myself included. With that being said, I've made the decision to close the group for the time being. This is absolutely not a goodbye or the end of Windsor Bay. I still fully plan on hashing out all of the families bios and giving them each rich backstories to play off of. Unfortunately, I feel like I just bit off more than I can chew at this very moment, as I've had a lot of personal changes in my life as of recent.

I don't have a definitive timeline for coming back, though I am at this moment aiming for summer (maybe even sooner.) I promise I will keep everyone up to date as things progress. I hope to see some previous members join us when we're ready to open, because I promise this place will be better than ever ❤️
