First foddart commission, this one for a lovely Wind clan! The user wanted something secluded but welcoming, so I took inspiration from Xiaozhai Tiankeng and set the lair in a lush underground meadow.

BLOODBROOD!!!

this is the 1st area of blood brood! the windswept plateau is a appropriately named gusty area, dry moss and large swinging grass tufts flutter in the breeze as the inhabitants live their day to day lives.

within this town lives the mossbugs! Simple bugs living their lives in peace under the careful watch of the mystic elder, along with their trusty mossnymphs and mosshaulers. As the starting area of the game the locals would be apprehensive of Byrum at first (i mean if a weird bug burst out of a pale egg in your backyard you'd probably be a bit freaked out as well) but the mystic takes you in as one of his own, even being the one to grant you your name as you inhabit the moss chapel (largest mosshut)

i hope you guys like it! im gonna add some more sketches and stuff to fluff out these areas but its been very fun to come up with this! expect more in the future

Wanted to draw my own lair, Florabrisa! I’ve been working on this on and off the past few weeks haha..i think it gives a decent idea how i see my lair!

Florabrisa is located on the southern coast of the Windswept Plateau, somewhere between the Ashfall Waste border and the Twisting Crescendo. The path leading to the clan has sprawling flower gardens, which continue up the ridges of the small plateau that Florabrisa is built inside of!

also having a plant-based lair while being unable to draw plants is..unfortunate,

honestly, i think the Cloudsong is the most underrated region of the Sornieth.

so here we've got a bunch of ancient clans, usually big ones since you get the "ancient" from expanding your lair, creating goddamn kites and living in them.

there are dragons living in kites in the sky! think of how they have to design their homes. having to baby proof rooms and areas so the young dragons don't fall off, and Windsinger forbid it be a poor snapper baby. dragons coming in and out and it being a huge task to import large goods since you'd have to carry them while flying. You gotta take hot air balloon rides to transfer them. Plus, the kites would shift, especially the small ones, so you just gotta be chill with your house sometimes moving. You gotta be chill during storms where lightning is just right next to you. No glass windows because birds.

also: poor snappers. they must be so terrified of trips there.
