This hockey logo is a concept of what it would look like if the border cities Detroit and Windsor shared a professional hockey team. The semi circle at the bottom represents the river bed of the Detroit River with the Ambassador Bridge spanning across at the top, connecting the neighbouring cities. In addition to the bridgespan, the wingspan gives flight to the logo. The large red letter W at the center is representative of both Windsor and Wings. Finally, the dice at the bottom is not only a nod to the casinos that can be found in both cities but it is also meant to mimic the fuzzy dice that were once a popular adornment hung from a car's rear view mirror. Overall, this creates the appearance of a hood ornament which is a tribute to the car manufacturing industry for which Windsor and Detroit are known.
