언제부터 인가 몸이 움직이지 않는다. 어떻게 해서 이곳에 누워 있게 되었는지 조차 기억이 나지 않는다. 눈을 감으나 뜨나 비슷한 풍경 속에 정신이 깨어있는 시간만큼 썩은 듯한 냄새를 들이마신다.

살을 파고드는 듯 괴로웠다.

소리치며 도움을 구해보았지만, 내 귀에선 그 무엇하나 들리지 않는다.

정적이 너무도 그리웠고 외로웠다.

복받치는 감정 속에 얼마나 했는지 모를, 생각들을 반복했다. 나는 지쳐 눈을 감으려 했다. 하늘에서 태양이 빛나기 시작했고 태양을 등지고 그가 나에게 다가와 말을 했다.

'내가 널 구원해줄 거야'

나는 희망을 보았다.

움직이지 않던 나는 어느샌가 그의 손을 붙잡고 빛을 향해 걸어갔다.

so i did a 30 second sketch and snapchatted it to my kids and wing2 challenged me to scan it and digitally color it and i think this is proof that i should stick to non-digital art

Wing2 and I went to the Intimate Impressionists exhibit at the SAM today. They have a station where you can finger-paint your own drawing on tablets. I took pictures of wing2's progress of creating a marvelous painting. I helped a little. The flowers to the right of the figure, and the candle to the left. :) The whole time he was working his magic there was a small crowd watching him in amazement. They weren't used to seeing people confidently speed painting digitally. Yes, I'm very proud of him.
