Saparata saves Turntapp Au except-
It comes with a minor inconvenience.
The meeting room was noisy, people shouting at one over the other, adding layers upon layers of noise.
Unbeknownst to them of two covenant members plotting against their leader above the ceiling, with a plan to drop a singular dripstone above him, one shot at this right there and then.
With them finishing it up, one of the two breaks the base of the dripstone that they placed.
And as the dripstone near cracked seconds before falling on top of Turntapp, Saps was able to hear it milliseconds before it fell-- thanks to his heightened sense of hearing-- and with his wings acting as an extra set of arms, extended them to protect him, pushing and shielding him from the blow.
A loud and deafening sound fills the room almost immediately, heads turned to find the source of it, only to spot Saparata on the ground, trembling with his wings spread wide open for all to see, and instead of his usual snow white feathers, they were stained and smelled strongly metallic when close by.
