I know firsthand how unhealthy it can be to drown yourself in self pity and sadness. I’ve spent years doing that and I’m just fucking done with it. Especially now, since I know the situation doesn’t always have to be bad. I’m so grateful for having experienced how amazing it feels to feel satisfied with yourself, to appreciate yourself.

It’s been hard working myself to this point and that’s why I felt more miserable than ever, when I was pushed down again. But I won’t let this turn into sadness again. I’m just fucking done with that, I’m not having any of this shit anymore.

Anyone who thinks otherwise or wants to push me down again can stick it up their butt, because I’m not having it anymore. Fuck them.

Fuck my teacher, fuck my other teacher, fuck those people talking shit about me, fuck the part of me that even just for a second dared to think they are right, because they are not. They can’t control me, they can’t make me something I don’t want to be!

I’m my own person, I’m not perfect, I have my flaws, I serve my right to be afraid sometimes and to be paranoid and I matter and I’m alright. They can’t convince me otherwise.

  1. What’s the number one thing you are most proud of?

My National Merit Scholar status on account of it got me a full ride for college. It's just... I don't know I don't really have enough room here to express how grateful I am for the opportunities that that is going to offer me

2. Who do you admire the most?

John and Hank Green. No doubt about it. I'm so amazed by all the cool things Nerdfighteria has done over the years and the whole vibe of the community. I love celebrating being made of awesome. DFTBA 

3. What calms you down?

Singing Irish music with/going to the pub with my family - My dad was in an Irish band and both my parents were performers at Scarborough Faire so I grew up with all that

4. What excites you?

Learning languages and analyzing books! Like seriously it sounds so nerdy but having the ability to communicate with people like that and read books in their original formats is amazing and I love seeing how through out history characters and authors struggle with the same basic concepts and interpretations of humanity it's humbling. 

5. What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done?

Made the decision to go to Peru this summer? With someone I've only met once? In 11 days? Oh my god someone help me I'm so scared

I've always wanted to see the Northern Lights and/or go somewhere remote enough to see the sky without all the light pollution
