Helix sighed, his entire body was shaky, deep down he didn’t want to look down, he didn’t want to see what awaited but he knew he had to. He steeled himself, taking a shaky breath before slowly forcing himself to look down.
He nearly felt his spark shatter as he saw Vantage. The usually babbling, curious little purple sparkling was scarily still, only sign the little one was still online was the slow rising and falling of his chassis. About a million wires and monitors were attached to him, all beeping and whirring, Helix understood none of them and it scared him deeply.
His eyes slowly drifted to Vantage’s helm, the little weld marks where that seeker’s claws had dug into made him shutter. He could practically hear the screeches and screams, the terror and desperation that had grown louder as the razor sharp claws dug deep into his helm, he had to shake his own helm a little, not wishing to delve deep into the dark memory, it was so fresh in his mind, like a new wound, nowhere near to the point of scabbing over.
He felt a reassuring servo on his shoulder, he’d momentarily forgotten Jetstorm had been in the room with him “The nurse said you could pick him up…” The taller seeker’s pain practically oozed off him, Helix didn’t even have to look to know tears were welling in the blue mech’s optics, to feel the low simmering rage building up in his spark at the one who dared to do this to their sweet little sparkling.
He very carefully picked up Vantage, clasping him close to his chassis, servo gently stroking the back of his helm “He’s so small” He said, voice barely above a raspy whisper, it nearly getting caught in his throat as he choked down his rage, he didn’t want to make it seem like he was angry at Vantage, he didn’t want to scare his sparkling with a certain select few words he’d like to tell that Seeker.
He felt Jetstorm’s arms gently wrap around him as he rocked the still little form in his arms “…..Those fraggers are going to be serving as many life sentences as I’m legally allowed to throw on them” Helix scowled a little, laying his helm against Jetstorm’s shoulder.
Jetstorm nodded, a little chuckle escaping him “Maybe if we argue with Sentinel enough he’ll let us toss them in the acid wastes.”
Helix smirked, adjusting Vantage in his arms “Or worse, let my carrier rough them up a little bit.”
”Well we don’t want them dead so maybe not that….although that would be fun to watch” Jetstorm smirked.
They were both roused from their little discussion by a tiny yawn, sleepy pink optics staring up at them.
Helix smiled “Oh good morning sleepyhead” He gently pinched Vantage’s cheek, earning an offended little grunt from Vantage, servos clasping his digits and pushing them away.
Jetstorm leaned down, chuckling “A little grumpy hm?” Vantage reached out and grabbed at his creator’s visor “It’s ok if you try and grab at me but you get all offended when we try and pinch at your cheeks?”
Vantage just stuck out his glossa a little in response, popping off the visor pretty easily, trying to putting on himself, it being much too large for him, slipping off his little face, he stubbornly kept trying to put it on, smooshing it to his face.
Helix and Jetstorm chuckled watching his futile attempts to make his creator’s visor stick to his face. Helix then frowned, running the tips of his digits along the rough little weld marks along his helm, feeling his plating start to shake as a gentle bubbling rage returned to him, he held Vantage as if he was made of glass and pained him to think of what that sick fragger thought as he held the little sparkling, not holding with the tenderness and care that his creators held him with, the tenderness and care he deserved. Instead of holding him by the helm as if he was some toy, listening to him scream and screech, feeling him writhe so helplessly beneath his claws.
A thick sludge-like feeling grew in his throat, he felt sick, he tried to clear his processor of the buzzing swarm that was his thoughts, it was like angry flies, relentless and so fragging loud. He felt wondered what it would’ve been like if Vantage hadn’t made it and well his imagination didn’t disappoint.
Vantage offline in his arms, the warm feel of his own sparkling’s energon on his arms, the manic cackling of the seeker who’s claws were stained with a noxious shade of pink, the gut-wrenching ache that tormented Helix’s entire being, the burning of an agonized scream searing in his throat, unable to escape or be swallowed back down.
He didn’t like it, he didn’t like the horrible feeling, the heavy sludge in his throat of guilt and grief that threatened to fill his vents and slowly suffocate him.
The buzzing and suffocating sludge instantly disappeared as a gentle hand touched his shoulder, grounding him back in reality. Jetstorm looked at him in slight concern “You ok?” He asked.
Helix chuckled nervously “Y-Yes, I’m fine.” He stammered, gently moving his digits from where they had been resting on a very confused little Vantage’s helm.
“You just spaced off it seemed” Jetstorm looked at him in concern “Do you need to sit down maybe? The doctors did say you shouldn’t stress yourself out to much” Worry crossed his face, furrowing his brows.
Helix waved a hand at him dismissively “I said I’m fine Stormy” He gave his conjux a little smile before looking down at Vantage, the sparkling having already fallen into recharge, hands still clasped around his creator’s visor.
Jetstorm very gently wiggled his visor out of his sleeping purple servos and popped it back on, gently giving him a little kiss on the forehead.
Helix sighed and placed Vantage back in the little berth, tucking him in tenderly “I guess we should head to the prison now?” He looked at Jetstorm quizzically.
Jetstorm nodded “The Elite Guard did say they’d do some of their own interrogations but we need to do some as well.”
Helix nodded and they left the room, Helix lingering for only a moment to glance at Vantage, sort of reassuring himself that his sparkling was indeed still there and more importantly still online. He turned and followed his conjux, that disgusting sludge returning to his throat as he thought of coming face to face with that seeker again.
It remained as they transformed to their jet modes and began the short flight to the prison, his mind flashed back to the thought of Vantage’s offline frame. He blinked, not letting himself think to hard about it, not wanting to delve back into that dark pit of his imagination.
The journey there was pretty silent, he and Jetstorm didn’t speak, Helix focused on the loud howling of the wind as he flew, distracting himself from his anxieties.
Eventually, he and Jetstorm landed, changing back into his bot mode and heading towards the door to the prison. It was a formidable facility, so large any normal bot would have to crane their neck to see the top, thick walls lined with tiny barred windows, he shuddered as he thought of it’s residents, a large portion of the prison population was cons, all of them being shoved in prisons all over the planet and it was no different for this facility.
He shivered slightly as he entered, surprised at how cold it was in the building, while not freezing there was a brisk nip in the air that made his plating crawl slightly as the door slowly swung closed behind him, it added to the foreboding atmosphere, walls just a gray and lifeless as they looked on the outside, the floor a drab pale blue color.
Jazz was standing there, leaning on a wall “Oh! Your here” He smiled, motioning them to follow as he started walking down the hall “Sentinel is just finishing up with the seeker I think, then it’s your turn.”
Jetstorm and Helix tailed behind him, concern crossing both their faces “Wait seeker? I thought there was an entire trine of them?” Helix furrowed his brows, glancing up at Jetstorm who shrugged in confusion.
“Well…” Jazz frowned “We had the ‘leader’ in a separate transport truck from the other seekers, they somehow manage to break out of their cuffs and escape..” He perked back up “But we did manage to keep the main one though and the rest of the elite guard is searching for them as we speak.”
Helix frowned, the sludge in his throat grew, it starting to become hard to breath as it did. He didn’t want to see that face again, the sneering, cocky grin and the manic hue that burned brightly in the seeker’s optics, but he knew he had to, he would never rest easy knowing such a sick fragger and his trine were not behind bars, waiting to strike and hurt him or his family.
They stopped near a door, the loud angry yelling of Sentinel all to obvious. Jazz slowly walked over to open it however it swung open, slamming into him with a loud clang as the blue bot stormed out, fuming.
Helix frowned a little as Sentinel stormed down the hall “…Are you ok Jazz?” He looked back over at the musical mech who was being helped to his feet by Jetstorm.
“I’m fine, I’m fine. You guys should get in there and try and get some information out of him before Sentinel comes storming back and has him executed or something” Jazz rubbed his sore helm, muttering something under his breath that Helix was 90% sure was just a bunch of cursing.
The two sighed and walked into the little room, Helix biting his glossa as he saw the seeker. The cocky Glitch was sitting in a chair, leaning back in it, pedes perched on the table. A smug grin curled arrogantly on their face, albeit a little lopsided.
The long, gnarled wound that Helix had given him started at the chin and ended just above his now smashed optic. A smirk crossed Helix’s face as he thought of how his blade had so easily carved through the metal of the seekers face, the loud shrieking that followed and the satisfying patter of energon as it dripped from the sharp edge of his blade, he was half tempted to do the same to the other side of his face, just so they matched. He restrained himself, knowing that would just be messy and would no doubt end poorly.
It appeared some poor medic had tried to weld it closed but didn’t do the best, instead of a smooth, barely noticeable little scratches like the ones on Vantage’s helm the seeker’s was jagged and rough, the metal just barely welded together in some area and in others the metal awkwardly stretched to try and meet but to not success, in the gaps wires were exposed, obviously having to had been awkwardly cobbled back together as well judging from the lumpy, rushed soldering and where his optic had once been was just an empty hole, wires sticking out of it slightly.
“Ah little Prime! Good to see you! Looks like the doctors gave you the all clear you to leave I see? Whoop-dee-do! They got your arm back on as well!” The seeker’s tone of voice didn’t match his face, a burning fury obvious in the withering scowl he wore on his face “You brought your conjux? My my such a formal get together! All we need is the little one…” He smirked “But oh wait…..the sparkling is recovering isn’t he? Little thing all tucked into a hospital bed! Clinging to life desperately, crying out for his creators probably, trying to recover from the wounds I gave him!” The seeker stuck his bottom lip out in a little pout and made a dramatic sad sniffling nose, which was follow by his signature shrill, breathy cackle that rang off the walls like nails on a chalkboard, easily shattering Helix’s already paper thin patience.
Helix slammed his hands down on the table “SHUT UP” He snapped, digging his digits into the table, wings flaring up as he glared at the seeker “W-We have stuff to discuss, no time for casual talk” He frowned and pulled his digits out of the little holes he made in the poor table, the seeker’s smile unwavering all the while “I-I guess I should know your name is we are going to be doing this interrogation thing.”
“Riot” The seeker tilted his chair back to it’s normal position, getting his pedes off the table as he held out their servo to shake Helix’s.
Helix crinkled his nose at the hand, how that piece of slag held it out as if it hadn’t been stained with sparkling’s energon only a few hours prior, as if it didn’t hold the stains of multiple other bots lifeblood, having had their plating torn out by the murderous digits and left to slowly bleed to death.
He just cleared his throat and very shakily took Riot’s servo, shaking. He shuddered as the tips of his digits gently pressed his palms, one wrong move and those knife like digits could tear his servo to a energon smeared pile of scrap metal “Now let’s just get straight to the chase” He let go of Riot’s servo, wiping his own against his chassis, as if trying to scrape off a metaphorical filth he’d picked up from Riot’s own servo “Where’s might your trine be?” He asked.
“Oh them? They escaped right?” Riot slowly stood up “Well I’m certainly not telling you, I’m not some backstabbing, weak sparked, autobot valve sucker like a certain someone you maybe know” He leaned against the table, staring up at Helix as verbally and physically spat in Helix’s face, a sneer crossing his marred face.
Helix flinched and wiped the angry seeker’s saliva off his face in disgust, shuddering “Let’s try to remain professional pleas-” He was interrupted by a loud banging against the door.
Jetstorm opened the door a little, slamming it closed and locking it before Helix could see who was out there.
”Vell zat was a little rude..” The german voice and the cackling that followed made Helix’s spark drop into his stomach, it was unmistakably his carrier, also the worst bot to be at this interrogation.
“Don’t let him in!” Helix whisper yelled at Jetstorm, his conjux bracing himself against the door as the knocking grew louder and harder, the door physically vibrating and buckling slightly from the force of the large fist pounding on it.
Jetstorm threw an alarmed look at Helix who was panicking as well. He flinched as the door jolted a little, lock snapping loudly as it was broken in half.
Helix saw Jetstorm try and dig his heels into the floor as the door slowly opened, Blitzwing walking in, his face was currently in it’s jack o’lantern smiled, always gleeful random mode “I vas going to do a very cool dramatic entrance but zhis vorks as well” He cackled, looking at Helix “Vell no need now! I’m here and I recommend you and Jetstorm leave before this gets messy! Kind of like that one time Hummel tried making spaghetti…except the stuff that’s going to be covering the walls this time isn’t tomato sauce” He cracked his knuckles, letting out me cackles as his optics settled on the very freaked out Riot.
Helix looked at his carrier “P-Please we’re trying to do legal stuff” He smiled nervously, looking back at Riot in time to see the seeker hurling himself at the Prime, claws outstretched.
His optic’s widened as Riot was suddenly pulled back before he could rake his sharp digits through his face, Blitzwing having grabbed him by the leg and slammed him into the wall, large spider web like cracks shooting out from the place of impact.
“Very rude isn’t he! Like you vhen you were a sparkling and we had to try and shove you the bath!” The large triple changer talked so casually to Helix as he began repeatedly slamming Riot into the wall, the cracks in the poor wall growing as the mech kept hitting the it, paint scuffing off onto the stone.
“Stormy get the guards” Helix quickly yelled, watching the blue seeker take off down the hall before lunging at his own carrier, trying to pry Riot out of his claws, it felt disgusting to be grabbing the seeker, to be trying to help the bot who’d nearly killed his sparkling but he knew letting the glitch serve the rest of his life behind bars would be must more justifying then the temporary rush of just watching him die.
Blitzwing stopped when Helix began clinging to his arm, dropping Riot to the floor. Helix smiled nervously, thinking he’d stopped his carrier “C-Can we maybe go out to the hallway Blitzwing?”
Blitzwing just smiled and scooped Helix up in one of his arms like he was some itty bitty sparkling. He turned towards Riot who was trying to limp away, he grabbed him by the wings, gripping them tightly as he pulled the fleeing seeker back towards him.
He slowly increased the pressure on the fragile pieces of metal, making a loud creaking noise as they tried to stay straight. Riot squirmed like a caged rabbit, raspy little gasps escaping him as he writhed, giving out a loud screech as his wings crunched under Blitzwing’s grasp, a small spurt of energon bursting out of them like a hose on high pressure, covering Blitzwing in the pink liquid.
Blitzwing let go, the seeker’s wings held more resemblance to bunched together strips of tinfoil than delicate, gracefully crafted pieces of metal , the seekers took so much pride in, they were so horridly bent out of shape and mangled Helix highly doubted they could be repaired, going to have to be replaced instead.
Riot crumpled to the floor in a small heap “Vhat? Have you got nothing to say?” The bigger mech leaned down a little “You had an entire monologue planned out as you beat MY sparkling unconscious with his own arm” Blitzwing sneered, cackling once again.
Riot looked like he might have a spark attack, trying to quickly crawl away, Blitzwing seemed to take joy at watching his futile attempts to flee “Oh don’t be like zat!” He smiled and slowly dug one of his heels into Riot’s servo “This is another thing you did as vell, you monologued and stuck your prissy little foot into Helix’s servos! He was lucky your so light and couldn’t do much” The loud crunching that followed made Helix wince, Riot’s servo utterly flattened under his carrier’s heel, energon splattered all over the floor “However unlike you, I’m not as light.”
Riot was making wheezing little cries of pain, trying to get up and get away from the enraged former con.
Helix bit his lip, Riot was good as dead if he didn’t stop his bloodthirsty carrier. He wracked his processor trying to think of what to do, a lightbulb went off his helm, a stupid one but news flash he wasn’t smart to begin with.
“You seemed to have so much fun hurting Helix but now you can’t take the same treatment? How sad!” Blitzwing laughed “Vell I should say you can’t take my treatment, if I gave you the same treatment you gave to Helix you’d be dead so quickly, just a splatter of energon on the wall and that’s no fun!“
Blitzwing’s optic slowly dirfted to Riot’s leg, he smirked his claws easily digging into it, starting to pull on it “Now since you took Helix’s arm, I only think it’s fair I take you LEG!” Riot’s leg started to slowly get pulled off his body, the loud snapping and cracking of metal and wires making Helix nauseous.
Riot’s screaming was worse though, his screams and screeches sounded like a fork in a garbage disposal, so loud and shrill it could’ve probably shattered glass.
Helix took a deep breath, he knew he had to do his stupid plan now, if he stalled for to long Riot would be a dead heap of metal on the floor “Sorry about this!” He yelled before digging it into Blitzwing’s abdomen. He grunted as he was dropped onto the ground, flinching as he saw Blitzwing confusion as he held his servo over the wound.
Riot quickly scampered to his feet and awkwardly dragging the dead weight that was his nearly torn off leg behind him as he hopped away, leaving a large trail of energon behind him, his foot losing traction once he reached the hallway, falling to the floor with a painful clang, a low moan of pain escaping the nearly offline seeker.
With very convenient timing Jetstorm and a small group of guards came skidding to a halt in front of the destroyed interrogation room, quickly starting to restrain the furious Blitzwing who was dead set on finishing his kill it seemed.
Helix quickly scampered out, avoiding the rush of guards as they began trying to get stasis cuffs on Blitzwing. He walked over to Jetstorm “What took you do long?” He asked.
”There was a fight in the showers, the guards were trying to break it up so I just had to find all the guards not dealing with that..which took awhile” The tall jet sighed.
They flinched as there was a loud thud, Blitzwing falling to the ground as the stasis cuffs took effect. The guards then turned there attention to the hurt seeker, seemingly rushing him off to the medbay.
“….” Helix turned to his carrier “WHAT THE FRAG WERE YOU THINKING!?!” He yelled, glaring daggers at the now icy faceplate of Blitzwing.
“Vell he deserved it! It vas fun to vatch though right?” Blitzwing flexed his energon covered claws.
“W-Well yes… but weren’t you scared of… OH I DON’T KNOW MAYBE GETTING ARRESTED FOR ASSAULTING SOMEONE OR THE AMOUNT OF DAMAGE YOU DID?!”
Blitzwing merely chuckled “I’ve done time already! A little more wouldn’t hurt, especially if it meant I got to finish off the seeker.” He paused “But do you vanna know vhat I’m actually more scared about?”
“What are you of all bots scared of? What could you possibly fear after nearly beating the slag out of a murderous decepticon with a single hand?!” Helix asked, cocking an eyebrow curiously, he did hold some new respect for his carrier, how he was able to deal out an aft whooping while also holding a full grown mech in one arm.
Blitzwing smirked “I’m scared of how dead I’ll be vhen your Sire finds out about this….”
