How old was he when Wing Ding decided to admire Optimus? Was it something Optimus did or said that appealed to Wingo Dingo?

Wing ding basically grew up around optimus so his admiration started when he was very young.

As a kid he just like that his uncle oppy was considered a hero by the city and as wing ding got older he mostly admired Optimus's sense of justice and doing the right thing.

He respected optimus for being a good person and for being able to admit where he was wrong. Optimus was also one of the first to give Wing Dings carrier a chance. Wing Ding knew not wveryone liked his carrier. He was VERY aware of that fact. But optimus at least tried to understand his carrier.

And thats a big effort most other bots cant say they attempted.
