Taking Time to Heal (Back at Home)
After nearly six months of living in a hotel, I am back home. It has not been an easy journey and I have been forwarded to a therapist for PTSD and depression. I have tried to keep my chin up, but honestly being back home has been one of the hardest parts with all of this. When 2Seok mentioned wanting to get back into work quickly and doing things, some thought that they were being forced to do it. I understood completely. When your daily routine has been twisted beyond recongition and you come back to "the unknown", you want to keep yourself focused and with something familiar. The issue is that that familiarity can also feel quite alien. You have memories but they don't feel your own anymore. They feel distant. Its like you are frozen in time, but everyone else has moved forward. I am back home but it is also not my home. Gone is the water, the damage and nearly all my belongings. Things will get better, but there is just a fear that I might wake up back in December and re-live the nightmare. I have to re-build my life and everything that I once had. But I will try to do it positviely. During all of this, I also recieved some backlash that I haven't been posting as much. With little regard to the situation that I have been in or my mental health. I was actually still working on posts during all of this, just slower than I normally would. And I do plan to hopefully pick up things when I am more settled. I just wish overall that there was more understanding and kindness for the members coming back. The focus mostly been on them than on myself. Our situations are VERY different, but to come back after such a harrowing experience is extrmelydifficult and it will take time to adjust. There is nothing wrong or shameful in that, and I hope they know that. I will keep waiting for them and send them all the love that I can. My current journey in trying to feel comfortable in my own home and skin again will take a while, but I am going to be kind to myself in the process. I cooked my own meal for the first time this week. It was my favourite: tuna pasta. And its amazing how something like that can lift your spirits. It has also spurred me on to want to try and get better at cooking! Throughout this journey though, my heart has remained the same and that will never change. I appreciate everyone so much who has reached out in support and I will always be here for the members. I honestly don't know where I have been going with this. I wanted to share my own thoughts and I guess put an end to this horrible chapter, so that I can have my own Chapter 3. Half of the year may have gone, but there's still six months to go and I am going have my life back! Much Love Becca x

My Own Bon Voyage to Edinburgh
At the end of October I was lucky enough to spend a few days in Edinburgh with @kookmin1913 and her sister. This would be our second trip together after going to South Korea with some friends. Those that know me well will know just HOW MUCH I adore Bon Voyage as a concept and I was looking forward to having my own little version again with my friends in a place that I have always wanted to visit.
I will be honest and say that I was fully packed for the trip a few days before, such was my excitement. I also managed to upgrade to first class by winning a bid for them through SeatFrog (not sponsored!), so I was ready for my four hour journey by downloading the second season of My Happy Marriage and by bringing some books! Once I arrived, I made my way to the Airbnb and was stunned by how beautiful the city was as I was walking. At the Airbnb, I then made a mental note of what was included and waited for the others to arrive for them to have fist dibs on their rooms.
After some tight hugging and unpacking, we went out for food. I knew Edinburgh would be busy, but not quite as busy as it was as we tried to walk past people. Eventually we found somewhere nice and quiet to eat and had the most delicious food! The staff were really kind and I was extremely happy to have some banana fritters again for the first time in years. We then made our way back and chilled before going to bed for the next day.
The next day my friends had to get some laundry done, but in doing so we met three cutest doggos! This theme continued as we made our way to the Museum of Scotland and said hello to the Greyfriars Bobby Statue.
We then walked around the Museum which was reallyyy pretty and I liked how interactive it was. On the way back to pick up my friends’ laundry we had another nice meal and I suddenly decided that I needed some chocolate. I have been trying to be healthy lately, but it hasn’t really been working out… Anyway, whilst together, I was introduced by them to some new movies that I hadn’t seen before, so I want to try and broaden my horizons!
On day three, we packed lots in! We first went to the National and Portrait Gallery and I was extra grateful that it was such a beautiful day as we walked around. The art included in both buildings were spectacular and it made my love for exhibitions grow even more! I really hope that I can visit more next year.
We had booked an afternoon tea for after our sight-seeing, so we made our way there. I had noticed that The Dome was already doing themed events for Christmas, so we picked there. I am sooo glad that we did though, because the building and food were spectacular. The vibes were gorgeous as we chatted while eating our food. Part of me didn’t want to leave at all because it was so beautiful, but we had to and continued to explore.
I live in a very hilly area, but I underestimated just how hilly Edinburgh could be. We walked around some more, exploring the Cathedral and local shops. I was super excited to visit the two Libraries, but they looked nothing like the photos advertised and I made a disappointed exit after a quick peek. We then bought some souvenirs and made our way back to bed.
Day four began with a trip to the Castle! We had bought the audio guides and they really made the (very cold) walk around much more insightful. There were so many interesting facts and stories. Two hours later we finished and decided to get some energy back.
The last place we visited was The Writers Museum, which made up for the Libraries and was a really cool place. We were all really tired at this point and got back to watch more films whilst eating burgers.
I was due to travel back a day earlier than the others, as I was meant to be helping with a Korean event at work. Due to funding cuts, this event had been cancelled but I was unable to change my ticket. We spent our last morning watching a documentary together and I will cherish all our time together dearly. It reminded me of Jungkook talking about travelling himself and that it would be a different experience travelling alone vs with the members. That is how I felt and spending the time together with my friends made the holiday even better! On my train back and the following morning it suddenly felt too quiet. I had grown used to being with them and our adventures together and that is what our time together unforgettable. I value our frienship so much!
