I should be preparing for Dollism. Or finish grab bags. Instead, I am making a Salomé sized corset. In a style none of my freakstyle girls (the one at home and my Eve on pre-order) will wear =.= I can probably always gift it to someone when I'm finished, though. I should bring my embroidery stuff with me on the plane to Dollism, in any case.

Progress! I haven't sewn the sides together yet, so I'm just holding it, but it's looking nice enough so far. I'm making it reversible. I do not have a sewing machine here, so I have to sew by hand, and as such, it takes a little more time than usual.

I also only have blue thread, so I need to get some light grey one tomorrow for the hem. The dark blue fabric has a warp roughly the same colour as the grey silk, so a thread matching the silk should also work for the blue fabric. Fortunately, there's a store which sells thread in town, so it shouldn't be hard to find.

Unfortunately, we have an ironing board, but not an iron, so the dress looks a bit bunchy at the moment. I don't think there's any stores in town which sells irons, so we'll probably have to go to a nearby city for one. Hopefully it won't be too long till we can do that, but in the meantime, I'll have to do without.
