Betty shifted from her stomach into her side, facing away from Jughead as he disrobed in equal measure behind her. A happy sigh escaped her when his bare skin made contact with hers. “Truth?” she murmured sleepily as he wrapped his arms around her, holding her close.

“Truth,” he echoed in the way she always called adorable, kissing her shoulder as she giggled.

“I hate wearing clothes to bed,” she admitted, exhaustion heavy in her voice. “I only wore them at home because Alice didn't know how to knock.”

Jughead hummed, pulling her closer. “And you're treating me because?”

“Because you've seen me in nothing before and I know you like it.”

He smiled to himself when she dragged his hand up to cup her breast.

“Plus, I like when you have easy access to me. You get bored and fidgety and I-” She gasped as he tweaked her nipple. “I,” she breathed again. “End up with a nice orgasm.”

“Is that all I am to you?” he hummed, running his thumb over her nipple again as she squeezed her thighs together. “An orgasm machine?”

He couldn't see her eyes, but she scoffed in the manner she did when she rolled her eyes. “As if you don't love being on the giving end. I practically have to pin you down to make you come.” After a moment of quiet, she continued. “Not that you don't love that, too-”

“You're not wrong.” He buried his face in her hair with a tired sigh. “Can we sleep now?”

“Of course.”

He hummed softly, slowly running his thumb over her nipple as she relaxed in front of him. Despite how tired he was, when Betty pulled his hand down between her thighs, he couldn't help but comply, knowing an orgasm or two would send her right to sleep. 

Truthfully though, he slept better after she came as well.

Will they give you another test since they didn’t receive your sample? I hope your test is negative and you’ll feel better soon.

i’m not sure. i’m still relatively low risk, and when i got tested at the beginning of the week, it wasn’t yet a pandemic. they might be rationing more tests now. hopefully the test is just in limbo and will be received by monday. :/

52. “I wouldn’t change a thing about you.” Thank you, Please!

Betty Jones wouldn’t recommend becoming a young mother to anybody, when Julia was born, she and Jughead were babies themselves; two college sophomores who had no right being in charge of anybody’s fate, not even their own. But, alas, life happens, you make choices and you have to deal with the outcome. Besides being a younger mother wasn’t all bad, she had the energy to stay up all night and tend to a sickly little baby, or the fact that her pre-baby body returned within the six-week recovery period.

Now at twenty-five, six months postpartum, she couldn’t say the same thing. Betty stood in front of the full-length mirror, she was making attempt to squeeze into her B.H. jeans (before Holden) and reminiscing about the glory days when breastfeeding alone would do the trick of burning the fat right off. A tear ran down her cheek as she examined her appearance; the breast milk stained shirt, that jeans with the zipper that wouldn’t budge. The bedroom door opened, she hoped it wasn’t Julia, they had been trying to teach her positive body image ever since she grew self-conscience of surgery scars from procedures during infancy; her mother crying over stretchmarks wouldn’t help their case.

Jughead stepped into the room with Holden in his arms, both greeted her with a smile which only caused Betty to sob more. Jughead was at her side in moments. “Betts, what’s going on, are you hurt?” He asked, examining her, hurriedly.

She shook her head and wiped away her tears before she a hand through Holden’s downy curls; he looked just like Jughead, both their kids did, down to their raven hair. Luckily for her, the Cooper genes weren’t as dominant as she thought. “I know I should be happy, we have two gorgeous children, we’re happily married, but none of my clothes fit me anymore!” Betty sobbed.

Jughead pursed his lips. “Baby, it’s okay, they’re just clothes, we can buy you new ones besides you’re a goddess.” He gave her a reassuring smile and bounced the baby.

Betty stomped her foot, still utterly frustrated by the situation. “My clothes fit weeks after I had Julia.” She huffed. “If I am not the perfect girl next door than who am I!”

The body issues were deeper seeded than a pair of ill-fitting jeans, it fell back to her mother. Anytime she gained the slightest bit of weight she wouldn’t be allowed anything more than fruit for breakfast. She swore that the toxic mentality would never be something she would force on her own daughter.

Jughead wrapped a free arm around her. “You’re Betty Jones, the love of my life, mother to Holden and Julia, the editor of the Register.” He declared, adamantly. “A total badass I wouldn’t change for the world.”

Betty smiled at him. “Even when I have a meltdown over pants?” She sniffled.

Jughead kissed her forehead. “Even then.” He chuckled. “Besides look on the bright side, look how far we’ve come in life, we can afford to buy, we can afford to buy you new jeans and our son was healthy so you didn’t have to spend every waking moment focusing on whether he was breathing or not, you had time to eat, unlike with Jules.”

Betty nestled into his side. “When did you become such an optimist, Mr. Jones?” She teased.

“They make you take a class in optimism along with Dad jokes when you become a father.” He confirmed playfully.
