Two years ago I spent the new years without any TV or phone getting away from it all at cost at Casa Escondida b & b in New Mexico.
It was so peaceful in the coal there was unlike any other cold I felt.
It was a dry cold with no wind that almost made it Pleasant to be outside.
I read books and listen to music on my computer and swept warmly under lots of covers in the morning I was treated to Fresh coffee and a gourmet breakfast.
Life is such a trade-off. I don't regret getting back with my husband and things have been good since but he doesn't make enough money to help me with much of the bills and generally ends up borrowing quite a bit from me. Because of this I will rarely if ever get the chance to go and do things like this again.
However there are days when I can barely walk and there are days when I cannot see well enough to drive myself long distances. I have to have help now and I have no friends here.
Well it is worth it to have the help I definitely miss having enough money to just take off and go wherever I want to go even though is very iffy whether I could see well enough to drive there or if I can even get around once I got there.
Getting older is a rough ride but it has been a fabulous life.
