At this point it’s becoming clear that my interest in Daniel Brühl became a crush at some point, the first I’ve ever had on an actor, because

I am currently attempting to watch Season Two of The Alienist despite it utterly grossing me out about three times an episode JUST for the occasional awkward facial expressions that spasm across Laszlo Kreizler’s face any time he realizes someone is hitting on him.

And I might watch a car movie. I don’t watch car movies. I might watch a car movie that stars THE GOD OF THUNDER and all the while I’ll be staring at the shorter, darker, less glowing-with-sex-appeal German man to watch his face for subtle microexpressions.

Am I suddenly reverting to the adolescent obsessions that I never indulged in as a preteen? Or is Daniel Brühl just weirdly compelling like that?

I’m guessing that there are no One Direction like heartthrob posters of Brühl, for which I am eternally grateful because I would hate to have to explain to friends and beaus what the hell is wrong with me.
