Here are some random pictures I took during the last couple of days. I could write a whole paragraph about each one of them but I don’t really feel like it right now ;) Nothing super exciting going on. We’ve just been spending lots of time at home, adjusting to this new life as a family of seven! But don’t worry, our next vacation is already being planned so it won’t get too... boring around here ;D

Happy (belated) Halloween :)

We don’t really celebrate Halloween here in Norway. But the kids love dressing up so of course we let them dress up on Thursday too. Ronan’s boys from his first marriage are currently staying with us and the kids had so much fun! They spent the whole day outside, playing all sorts of games! It was a sucsessful day and it didn’t even involve lots of candy ;D

Moon dressed up as Alice in Wonderland. Morgan decided that he wanted to be a pirate and I dressed little Winter as a fairy... I’m not sure I ever want her to take those adorable wings off again! She looked so, so precious! They all did! Everest dressed up as Robin Hood and Kili as some sort of Prince or Knight... I’m not sure actually, he just wanted a sword :P

You’ve adjusted so well to this new life that’s been thrown at you. You’ve only been with us for a couple of months but it feels like you’ve always been a part of this family and, in some way, you have! I love you so, so much! We love you so much! Your siblings are obsessed with you.

You’re especially close with Ronan, though. Maybe it’s because you two are actually related by blood or maybe it’s something else. But you’re helping each other heal and it’s beautiful to see, and at the same time so very heartbreaking because no one should have to go through a loss at this young age.

We’re making the best of this horrible situation, though. And having you with us has definitely been nothing but a blessing so far!

I love you, Winter. To the end of the universe and back!

Last night in this land of magic :) I’m gonna miss this place! But I’ll definitely come back one day! 💫

...I can’t wait to take you home and watch you discover the place I’ll most likely see you grow in. I can’t wait to watch you play in the backyard, take your first steps in the living room and get your first kiss on our front porch.

I mean, of course, you still have so, so much time but I can’t stop picturing the person you’ll become one day. And I wonder if you’ll be happy... if I will be enough for you.

I’m not your real mother. Ronan isn’t your real father. But you are our real daughter. And I want you to be happy. I want you to never miss a thing in life. So I pray to God every night that He’ll guide me in this journey; that He’ll help me know what you need me to be. And I promise I’ll be whatever you need whenever you need it. Because I love you. And I want you to never doubt that. You are a part of me now. And I’ll always be there for you. Always. I promise!
