14: A fic you didn’t expect to write

I don't know... Maybe the one I wrote for the cryofreeze's event? Because never I thought I would put myself out there and compare myself with other writers. I'm not very self confident with myself, I still think my writing sucks and it's the reason why I have few will to write and why I don't have a big engagement. But this little fic? It gave me a new purpose to write and to improve myself, and taught me not to be afraid of comparison and to look at the others with a sense of improvement than of threat.

19: Any new fics to start next year

Girl, I have an endless list of WIPs I don't even know where to start ahahahahha. But I think my first fic will be the nerd!Bucky x artist!reader, then I was thinking to resume Between Dark and the Void, maybe revising a bit the chapters and then finish writing it. I missed writing it and I forgot how special it was to me.

Then, I think I will start underlining my Bucky x OC story. It will probably be my longest project ever, since I'm planning to cover ALL the MCU phases.

25: A fic you read this year you would recommend everyone read

*Inhales* I have so many of them I've read and enjoyed I can't recommend you just one. So, I will make a little list.

DISCLAIMER: Most, if not all the fics I'll post here are Bucky x Reader, so sorry for the moots coming from other fandoms that will read this and feel like I cut them out. It's not the case, I just consumed too much Bucky content this year I barely touch anything coming from other fandoms.

Suggestions under the cut:

First of all, the fic I'd like to recommend everyone to read is absolutely Promise Without Ceremony by @cheekybarnes. It's the first fic I've read of this author and literally opened an entire world around me. I love everything of her fic, her writing style and how she portrays Bucky, which is pretty much close of what I see and write him. (I still have to recuperate most of her works, I know I suck a lot in this, but it's a trait I'm about to improve, so sorry... )

Then, I'd like to recommend Almost a Fairy Tale by my beloved @stardustrider. It came out as a suggestion I vomited in our private chat and she turned it into a beautiful fic. I'd recommend to check all her works, Bucky or not, because she's very valid writer on this platform.

Another suggestion is Not A Fairy Tale Kiss by our well known and beloved @azriona. I still have to conclude her "Killing Clint Barton" series, but I will.

I've read a lot of @vunblr content, but what I loved most of her works is the Tangled series. She recently started the sequel, Between The Tides and I loved it as well.

I've started Plus One Problems by our beloved Skitty @mrsbuckybarnes1917, I can't say too much since I'm still reading the first chapter but I already loved the story!

And last, but not least your, beautiful Late Night Love. I've already told you why this is one of your favourite works, and I won't stop saying it for the time to come.

One of my new year projects is to track every reading I'll do during the months, covering all the fandoms I'm in. It will start on January and will cover all the 2026, so I can give justice to both big and small writers (and would give me the occasion to slim my to read list ahahahah).

I don't do this because I want something in return, I want to do this because I believe this place can come back to the site it was some years ago, with people supporting people through a better interaction and a less toxic place.

I know myself alone can't go so far, but if I can contribuite and start by sharing some positivity, then I'm more than happy to do it.

And I'm not done! I have more and more writers and gifmakers who will receive this message. My list is still long, and I couldn't do It all yesterday like I won't today. But I'll be sure to leave bits of positivity in most of the people's inbox.

I miss you but it seems like I'm the only person you don't care about anymore

Dear "anon" (because I know who you are), I'm so sorry if it took me so much time to reply, but I had to collect my things correctly and give you a reply that wasn't too impulsive or angry to you.

Without spilling the bean publicly too much because I don't like it (the New Year's posts don't matter as it is me who choose to vomit all the thing I've kept hidden for a whole year), over the past 2025 I've dealt with several "difficult situations" here on Tumblr that forced me to distance myself from certain people I considered my moots. If you happened to get caught in the middle it's because we had probably some moots in common, and with that I'm sorry because you have nothing to do with this.

It was rude from me, I know, but I felt I needed to be with myself and change air for a while. If I gave you the impression you wrote on the ask, it is not and I'm sorry if my actions proved you otherwise.

If you want to discuss this matter in private (honestly, way better than an anon ask on Tumblr), please feel free to reach me. My DMs, Discord messages and all the platforms you have me are always opened to everyone, I'm not the type who bans people out of the blue or doesn't reply (if I do it's because I'm busy with my everyday things. I know it may seem I'm constantly online here, but most of the time is me having the website opened in background).

I've always said to the people who have known me that I rather prefer a brutal honesty than knowing things behind my shoulders. I know I don't manage difficult situations well, but I'm not made of crystal, sooner or later, I will have to learn how to manage moments of stress or misunderstanding.

Whenever you want, you know where to find me. I don't bite and I'm more than happy to solve this situation with you!

A bit late, but here we go!

15: Something you learned this year

A thing that I have learned is that no matter how hard you put your efforts in your fic: not everyone will read it. Wether you're a big or small writer, you have to be grateful of that circle that will always be here to enjoy and appreciate your work and what you manage to create.

I have also learned not to relate on numbers too much, since I think this is the major death of creativity. I had to shut down a fic series I loved writing once because the numbers weren't the ones I expected, I won't repeat the same mistake again.

16: Fic(s) you completed this year

My creativity has been incredibly low this year, but I strangely managed to complete two fics: the first one is Vows in Grief, a Halloween fic I wrote, and the second one is the one I wrote for the Cryofreeze event. You can find it here, though I'm writing the extended version between a gifset and another.
