Standing over their makeshift briefing table, Sam spewing the rundown into Bucky's right ear, the Super Soldier can't help but zone out, focusing instead on the uncomfortable chill that's been creeping up his spine for the last two days of this mission. After the third time he turns to his left, heart sinking as he finds himself staring at the far wall, and not into understanding brown eyes, Bucky cuts into Sam's ramble of a plan.

"We've gotta' go get him out."

Speaking of SamBuckyZemo 😏 do you have any headcanons/ideas about them as an ot3? Like, who was the first one to realise "oh no" when looking at the other two?

You know, I was going to say I don't, it just depends on what I'm writing for them, but actually then I realized that I do actually ... kinda, which is that I have a pretty solid mental timeline of Sam/Bucky getting together first. I don't think it would be impossible for me to write it some other way, but that seems to be the natural trajectory that it takes in my head - Sam/Bucky getting together and then Zemo pining for what he thinks he can't have until something catalyzes a getting-together scenario for all three of them.
