"I thought I knew you, what did I know?" |Win and Rory the Roman in 1965
It was 1965 and Rory was bored. More so than he'd like to admit. He thought he was patient. He'd done plenty of waiting over the centuries and he'd hoped that he might've outgrown that feeling of boredom that came when nothing interesting happened to him for some time.
It was difficult being dead, he realised. And he wasn't just thinking of Restac shooting him all those years ago. No. In 1941 the warehouse the Pandorica had been in went up in flames after a bomb fell on it and anyone who still believed in the Last Centurion believed he didn't survive the blaze. It was true he almost hadn't made it. It'd been a close call. And now he was laying low for the time being. The Pandorica was safe in a new warehouse - and he still checked up on it daily - but the the Last Centurion was up to more than just guarding a box these days. He had a flat in London, not far from the Pandorica's new location, and a job in a small grocery down the street.
Rory liked working. It was easier to keep his mind off everything he'd seen and done when he was helping a customer find a certain food item or talking with one of the other people who worked there. And a distraction was just what he needed.
It was starting to get dark, which meant it was time for Rory to go home to do, well, what his coworkers assumed would be normal evening activities. But Rory didn't eat (even though he could), nor did he sleep, but he'd been doing a lot of reading and he'd even bought himself a television recently. He left the shop and started off down the street, not paying attention to where he was going until - "Ah!" - he walked right into someone.
"Rory I brought muffins an' happiness!" As she holds up a baskets that's practically overflowing with them.
[He really liked muffins.]
[[Oh hi, it's really Rory Williams. And then there's the real Amy and Doctor too. You helped me get into RPing and will forever be my 'my' Rory.]]
ooc: OH MAN OH MAN this makes me very happy.
