as her gaze remained on the text in her grasp, the words of whom intruded on her study registered, acknowledgement noted in the swift abandonment of the literature in her grasp. she was the monarch who plagued her land with an eternal winter, destroying the balmy summer & presumably the trust of her people. but her subjects embraced her as the acceptance of her magic was granted from the one whom she cared for most. it was the surrounding lands that remained wary of her - Camelot to be the most prominent figure.

It had been bold of him to approach her in this manner. Certainly there was no other servant about foolish enough to intrude upon this land's Queen. Certainly not servant here, much less one from elsewhere entirely. Merlin had never been your average servant, though. Magic aside, he had his quirks, which admittedly came off as rude. He hadn't meant it in this case and as if to make up for what he had already done, the boy bowed his head slightly.
"My apologies, I had not meant to intrude. Well ... Well, I had, but ..." He trailed off and shut his mouth, wincing to himself.
