The great surprise of winter is the constant flowering of Jasminum nudiflorum (winter jasmine). The arching, lax branches look great cascading down a slope or supported by horizontal wires on a wall. During severely cold weather the plant may stop flowering but will continue when temperatures increase.

The cheerful flowers of Jasminum nudiflorum (winter jasmine) have been appearing for over a month but are now covering the plant. This vigorous, deciduous shrub or scrambler has long arching branches. It needs support on a wall but also looks great flowing down a slope.
