Greetings from winter NAMM 2017! This is James, product manager for SJC. We are incredibly proud to introduce Foundation Hardware!

After many years of providing the highest quality drums to the SJC family, we are incredibly proud to introduce Foundation Hardware. After being on the road ourselves, listening to feedback from touring and studio professional drummers, we know that having a solid, roadworthy set of stands is the key to a quality drum rig. Our Foundation Hardware lineup is exactly that; the foundation for your drums and cymbals that you can trust.

With heavy-duty, double-braced leg construction, smooth adjustment points, and comfortable wingnuts, Foundation X stands are professional quality stands built to take on the rigors of touring day-in, day-out. In addition to the tried-and-true tripod base design, we also offer the Foundation Flatline snare, tom and cymbal stands with unique double-braced flat bases that channel a vintage look, with modern durability and making setup easier than ever. With Foundation Hardware, you’ll receive the same experience and support from SJC as you would buying drums. These stands and hardware will be available on sjcdrums.com as well as through select dealers across the globe. We are excited to finally bring our Foundation Hardware to life, offering stands and pedals built to compliment the quality of your SJC drums.

FOUNDATION X 

Foundation X stands and pedals are made to withstand the needs of any drummer. Dual tier hi hat, snare and tom stands feature 1 ¼” and 1” tube diameters with a ¾” top tier on cymbal stands. Heavy-duty steel construction and exclusive design oversized rubber feet ensure maximum stability while cast hinged height adjustment systems with nylon inserts prevent damaging metal to metal contact. Smooth gearless cymbal tilters and snare basket ball joints give infinite adjustability. Hinged memory locks allow players to lock in their preferred positioning and make setting up easy. Stands also feature an ergonomic wingnut design with the Foundation “F” logo engraved in a non-slip insert to provide a comfortable grip with unmistakable style. Hi hat stands feature a solid stabilizer plate and smooth direct pull action. Bass pedals are equipped with stabilizer plates and responsive double-chain cam action. The pedalboard and beater positioning can be adjusted independently while smoked black dual surface acrylic SJC beaters round out the eye-catching Foundation Hardware lineup.

FOUNDATION FLATLINE

For those players looking for stands with a lower profile, easier setup or a vintage vibe, our Foundation Flatline snare, tom and cymbal stands feature heavy-duty double-braced flat bases with oversized feet to keep your stands in place. These stands can easily fit in places where traditional tripod base stands might be in the way and they are perfect for drummers looking to minimize the visual impact of their hardware setup. Hinged memory locks also help your flat-based legs stay in place without the fear of leg collapse when weight is applied. Using both Foundation x and Flatline stands can open up many options to maximize space usage.

FOUNDATION SHADOW 

Whether you’re learning to play or you’re just a weekend warrior, the Foundation Shadow hardware pack will be perfect for you. Lighter in weight with a sleek black finish, these stands will turn heads while double-braced legs keep them anchored and solid. Ideal for the practice room or the garage band, the Foundation Shadow hardware is made for the intermediate or price conscious player.

Didn’t get a chance to plug it in but ... gorgeous and great-playing guitar and it’s a very strong candidate for this year’s must-acquire list for sure.
