Carnival: Both of our muses are at a carnival and my/your muse won the other a prize.
“Don’t join this game, she’s gonna cheat-““Steve! Don’t listen to this guy, a’right? Do I look like a cheater to you?” All Jamie ever had to do was bat her lashes and this time give an overly adorable sort of smile and it had the young family of four smiling and chuckling with her. The captain rolled his eyes and gave a playful scoff.“Fine then. Your loss,”The five players picked up the toy guys and Steve had to notice how natural his best friend looked with hers- even a bright green plastic weapon could almost look deadly in Jamie’s hands. Within a minute or so the game had ended and all the targets had been shot down. The family was staring at Jamie in wonder and the youngest frowned deeply, almost comically. “…What’d I tell you,” Steve set his gun down and offered a ‘told you so’ type shrug to the family, earning a huff from the little girl. “We should go again, this is the best part about this place,” Jamie chirped cockily, now facing the booth-owner and collecting her prize. Steve took a moment to lean down to the child and make a promise.“I’m not lettin’ her play again. Knock ‘em dead,” The kid grinned because kids love secrets and as Jamie whirled around Steve snatched her hand without looking and lead her away from the shooting game.“Aww, c’mon! I wanted to clear ‘em out, I could’a made history,” She whined then flashed a grin, clasping Steve’s hand to play off not minding her manhandling at all. The captain just rolled his eyes and tried really hard to not smile at her.“And here I was gonna give you this,” Steve looked over to see Jamie cradling a blue and green striped alligator with crazy eyes and he broke a smile, snorting.“Damn, I’ve got so many regrets."
