After being rescued from The Raft, Wanda had been kept in the hospital wing of the facility. She was suffering from dehydration, malnutrition, sleep deprivation, her arms were injured from struggling in the jacket and her neck had light burns from the collar. The others were originally with her but were quickly cleared and moved into rooms within the living quarters. It left only her and Bucky, who was still there from Siberia. She looked over from her bed as she noticed the soldier stir. “Good morning. Well, it’s 2am but close enough.” She murmured, tired. Despite being ordered to sleep, she found herself unable to sleep.

Grace knew better than to feel upset or frustrated with him not talking; were she in his shoes, she probably wouldn’t want to talk much either. “Of course I don’t mean to compare our experiences,” she pointed out gently, determined to make sure he knew he wasn’t alone, even if he didn’t want to participate. “But different experiences often culminate in the same kinds of reactions. The same feelings. You probably feel pretty alone right now, probably scared, and I don’t blame you in the slightest. And rest assured that I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure you never, ever see the inside of a cell again. You don’t deserve that.”

SEND “What?!” FOR MY MUSE’S REACTION TO YOURS BLURTING OUT “I LOVE YOU” IN THE MIDDLE OF AN ARGUMENT.

Steve stopped arguing with Bucky and looked at him wide eyed. Did he just hear Bucky say he loved him? He hoped he had. The blonde has had feelings for the other man for as long as he could remember and just hearing those words coming from him made his heart race. 

“Did you just say what I think you just said?” Steve asked, just wanting to make sure he wasn’t hallucinating. He wanted to say it back badly but had to be sure of it.
