Bucky punched too hard in sparring and Clint wasn't trying to get his jaw wired again. He almost goes to pull an arrow from his back, but Cap strictly wanted this as hand-to-hand training. Clint is too busy trying to avoid any strikes to his head that he sends a messy left hook towards the other without much thought.

 ⍟   𝚋𝚛𝚘𝚠𝚜  𝚏𝚞𝚛𝚛𝚘𝚠𝚎𝚍  𝚊𝚜  𝚜𝚝𝚎𝚟𝚎  turned  his  head  to  look  at  bucky,  head  slightly  tilted  to  the  side.  he  was  used  to  being  the  one  spouting  out  wise  words  but  hearing  that  from  his  best  friend  seemed  to  hit  him  quite  hard.  he  found  himself  lost  for  words  for  a  moment  and  he  let  out  a  soft  hum  of  acknowledgement,  bringing  his  cup  of  black  coffee  to  his  lips  to  take  a  sip  while  he  pondered.

     setting  the  mug  back  on  the  table  in  front  of  him,  the  super  soldier  nodded  his  head  before  his  voice  finally  managed  to  make  it  out  of  his  throat.  ❝  i  think  you  and  me  are  a  testament  to  that,  buck.  we're  free  and  we're  choosing  to  use  what  was  done  to  us  for  good.  that's  gotta  count  for  something…  ❞
