How it felt like reading Eric’s Jo mamma jokes
i’m sure i’ll burn eternally …
The difference of words on Cal and Andre’s crosses. There are a lot of curses and insults on Andre’s, but Cals has peace signs on his and significantly less insults.
Cal was so manipulative that even after his death people believed he was dragged into it by Andre.
The movie of all time
aaaaaayhhh hi
I feel like I’m better off making art that people want
Zero day: Prom night - something I noticed.
Posting this again because my old account got banned.
In the prom scene, the day before zd, Cal goes with Rachel. We see them in the limousine, he’s shy and quiet. On the way back home, I noticed something interesting. Rachel is wearing a blazer she didn’t have on the way there, so I thought: maybe Cal gave her his because she was cold?
But NO, lmao the camera turns, and he’s still wearing his blazer.
Some people might think this is a pointless detail, but it actually means a lot. It shows that Cal wasn’t paying attention — his mind wasn’t with them. He was completely checked out. Some other guy had to give his blazer to his date because Cal didn’t care enough to notice.
Then, after the limo starts moving, Cal asks them to drop him off at Andre’s house. Rachel says she thinks it’d be better if he stayed and had fun with them, but Cal ignores her and goes up to the driver to give Andre’s address.
I love this scene. First of all, he didn’t need to go to Andre’s house at that moment. He literally abandoned his date just to go see his friend. They’re so “straight,” lmao. Cal could’ve been popular, he had the chance, but he turned it down.
I think this shows how anxious he was that night, how he wasn’t really present with those people. He probably spent the whole time wanting to leave, because even though Cal can be more sociable than Andre, that doesn’t mean he isn’t faking it in every interaction.
This just shows how much more comfortable he is around Andre than anyone else. As soon as they got back, the first thing he asked was to go to Andre’s house. He could’ve stayed, continued the night, been with the girl, then gone back, recorded the video, and gone to school — but instead, he chose to spend that entire early morning with Andre.
When he finally arrives at Andre’s house, the scene cuts to the two of them filming their last video explaining everything. At that moment, Cal is no longer wearing the suit but a looser shirt. So he must have changed when he got to Andre’s. This made me wonder: was he wearing one of Andre’s shirts, or was it one of his own that was already there? It suggests how many times they must have slept in the same room together before that moment.
Another thing is that in all the limousine scenes, there were jokes about gays — including the scene where Cal says goodbye to them to enter Andre’s house. I’m someone who believes everything is there for a reason, to be read between the lines. So, for me, it means a lot that someone surrounded by idiots making gay jokes still abandons their prom date to desperately go see their best friend.
