With winter weather on the way, it is no surprise that people are bundling up. It may, however, come as a surprise to some that the winter attire which they have come to know and love is getting a technological twist. Bluetooth gloves are a recent invention which individuals use by holding their hand up to their face and listening through the thumb while talking into the pinky. The device puts an interesting spin on the traditional idea of gloves by adding an additional function to gloves which were previously only used for warmth. The gloves cost approximately 70$ and come in a multitude of colours. One notable plus side to the Bluetooth gloves, aside from the obvious added functionality, is the fact that the gloves look identical to any other set of gloves. There is no noticeable difference in appearance which may add appeal for some individuals.
The only potential problem facing marketers is the fact that the device will have to compete with current hands-free devices. While the Bluetooth gloves certainly have the appeal of being duel-purpose, the fact that the user must hold their hand up to their face takes away from the hands-free convenience that Bluetooth is popularized for. That being said, the device certainly offers many benefits that consumers may buy into. Bluetooth gloves may very well be the next big thing!
