Steve took his mind off of his coworker as soon as he got in front of Sam Goody. He got inside, not even pretending to browse like he used to in the first week, instead heading straight to the shelves at the end of the store where a slightly damaged paper statue of Freddie Mercury was.

Steve smiled as he grabbed a piece of paper stuck in the back of the statue 

HA! I knew you wouldn’t resist the power of Metallica. Also yeah, I have a band with my friends; we even did a performance on the school’s talent show - Johnny

Steve could feel his cheek hurting with how big he was smiling, and he quickly took a pen and block of post-it from his pocket

I said that their songs weren’t so bad; don’t get too excited. You did? Now I’m sad that I always skipped those, but I hope one day I get to see you play, just so I could brag that I was one of first fans when you make it big - Ponyboy

Hi friend <3 I hope you're doing okay...these results have been so bleak and depressing and I personally have cried in my shower three times so far today.

I do social media marketing & advertising for an orchestra! I perform on the side as well (not lately because of my schedule rip), but I started that job around a year or two after writing Chaconne! I think my main inspiration was just my musical background / re-watching Mozart in the Jungle around the time when WandaVision came out and I fell in love with Agatha Harkness, haha.

Also I'm...okay. Tired, lol like emotionally and physically but I'm still here sooo. How are you? I hope you're doing alright and staying safe <3 Here's a little snippet from Lark xoxo:

 “Stevie, I mean, Steve seems happier.” Jonathan’s tone was filled with affection. They glanced at each other before Jonathan cleared his throat. “Catherine was the one who said it to me.” Eddie found that unlikely but wasn’t going to call him out on it.

Jonathan stood straight and put a hand on his shoulder. “Also, she says thanks for taking such good care of Stevie.”

Eddie just grinned. “Not a problem.”

They were quiet for a few moments “Well...” Jonathan looked down before staring at Eddie. “Does Steve talk about me at all?”

Eddie glanced away from the guy with a deep exhale “Well,” Jonathan bit his lip, his gaze wandering from Eddie to the ground. “Seriously. What is this tension between you two?”

Jonathan looked away from him and sighed. “He must have said something bad about me, right?”

After the movie, Steve drove back to the school so Eddie could get his motorcycle back and as Eddie left his car, Steve bit his lip. “Wait a second, Dustin.” Steve didn’t wait for an answer and quickly exited the car. “Eddie, wait!” Eddie looked at him with huge eyes. “I just wanted to apologize if I maybe came off to strong at the classroom.” 

Eddie raised his eyebrow “It’s fine, Stevie; you were just being a mama bear to your cubs. Besides, you were, like, kinda right; I d-did those things.” 

“Not really; you are not a bad guy, Eds.” Steve’s voice was softer, and for a brief moment he swore that Eddie’s expression got sadder. “If I wasn’t sure that Dustin would get an even bigger ego, I would say that he was right.” 

Eddie gave a quick chuckle “It’s his tone, right?” 

“I know!” Both of them fell into a small fit of laughter “So, see you around, Eds?” Steve started to walk backwards to his car

“I guess you will, Stevie.” Eddie grinned and hop into his bike

Steve ran to his car, felling lighter knowing that he had Eddie to help with the kids

“But now I have to accept that me and him are never going to be the way we were before,” Steve finished telling him about Tommy with a dejected expression. Eddie didn't think that sports guys could be that intense when it came to their partnerships.

“Are you hungry, Stevie?” 

Steve scoffed “I kinda bare my heart open to you, and that is your best consolation, Eds?” 

Eddie ran a hand through his hair. “That is best someone like me can offer.” He put a hand on Steve’s thigh. “Come on, since you made me bread in the morning, I will make you The Munson Special.” That seemed to pique Steve’s interest, judging by his expression.

“I just surprise that you are a secret geek, Stevie.” He smirked; the nickname came easily to him, despite having less than 10 actual conversations with the guy.

“I’m not.” Steve took a step forward

“Yes, you are. You bought tickets for a Marvel movie as soon as they were out granted, it’s not the day of the premiere; that would make you a full blown geek.” Steve let out a small and quick laugh (Eddie would deny that he felt any pride in making Harrington laugh in a genuine way). “By the way, why did you buy three tickets? Did a girl somehow manage to overcome the Harrington’s charm?” Eddie gasped in fake shock

Steve shook his head, and they were next in line. Dustin excitedly ordered when Steve gave his card to him, “Do you want anything, Eddie?” 

“A bag of Fini’s and we can share the popcorn; I don’t mind.” Eddie pointed his finger at Steve. “Also, don’t ignore my question.” 

“I’m not. I wasn’t ditched per se; Robin got a-” Steve’s eyes widened for some reason, and he cleared his throat. “problem that she needed to solve so I had one ticket free, and I was planning to bring one of the others, but then I needed an excuse and thought you would enjoy coming, you know.” Steve grinned. “Being a actual nerd and all that.”

“Are you denying being a secret geek?”

“Yes, because Marvel is as mainstream as you can get; otherwise, they wouldn’t be making the money they made.” Steve took a step toward Eddie. “So maybe you are the one that is a secret preppy guy.” Eddie let out a fake offended gasp. “Also, Harrington’s charm? I don’t think I am the charming” Steve took another step, and now their faces were basically inches a part and Eddie might have hallucinated that Steve glanced at his lips “Am I, Eds?”

Eddie couldn’t come up with any kind of answer, his brain empty with having Harrington so close to him. “Guys! Come on, the trailers are about to start.” Dustin yelled at them

“You keep proving me right when I called you an asshole, Eds.” 

Eddie drew his brows together with a twitch of amusement on his lips “Wait, wait.” He laid a hand on the bed while Steve froze. “What did you just call me?”

Steve’s eyes darted away from him “What, Munson?”

Eddie furrowed his eyebrow with fake confusion “That wasn’t what I heard. Call me that again. He had an amused grin on his mouth.

“No.” Steve cocked his head with fake smugness. “I wasn’t fully awake yet, and my nicknames are only for close friends, and I don’t want any more best friends,” Steve finished with a smirk.

Eddie slapped a hand over his heart. “Yeah?” He leaned closer to Steve with a gleam in his eyes. “What do you want to be then?” His intonation was low and mellow as he studied Steve’s face.

Steve lifted his head to the ceiling, pretending to be thinking about it as he tried to not focus in the way that Eddie’s tone affected him “Well…a caretaker. Why?” A corner of Eddie’s mouth lifted as well as his eyebrows

“Just go, Munson.” Steve tapped him with his foot. “I’m going to take a shower.” Steve tried to push him off the bed, but Eddie planted his feet. “Leave.” Steve sounded strained, but his body moved a few inches. “I said leave, Munson.”

Eddie clasped Steve’s hand and put it on the bed as he sat. “I’m not leaving.” His voice was husky. “I’ll leave as soon as you call me that again.” 

Steve let out an exasperated breath “What if I don’t?” He gave a cheeky smile

“Listen to you, it’s like you wanted me to stay here.” Eddie put his arm over Steve’s leg

“Munson” Steve scoffed while Eddie scratched his nose

“Up to you; I can stay here all day.”

Steve gave an annoyed sigh. “Fine, you’re unbelievably annoying, Edward.” He leaned forward, his hand resting over Eddie’s “Eds.” Eddie beamed

“Are you happy now?”

He turned his ear to Steve. “I’m sorry. I didn’t catch that; can you say it again?”

Steve nudged him off the bed again “I did what you wanted; now go.”

Eddie pushed Steve’s hand away. “That’s all you need to do.” He playfully swiped his hand over Steve’s chin. “Sweetie.”

🎲 for wip weekend?

Eddie parked his motorcycle, and the first thing he noticed was that Billy was staring at his direction and he was not in the mood to deal with that. However with a more attentive look, he realized that Billy was looking to something behind him.

That something was Steve Harrington that apparently wanted to met with Billy before school with the way the his took determine footsteps toward the guy and the younger redhead that Eddie knew was Billy’s scary stepsister. The first thing that Steve did when he reached them was to put a arm over the girl, who rolled her eyes but didn’t rip off Harrington’s arm.

Eddie couldn’t hear nothing of what they were talking about —He didn’t even know when Billy and Steve became friends, especially since that would be something Billy would definitely be smug about with the way that he talked about ‘Harrington this’ and ‘King Steve that’ everytime they—Eddie shook his head, if there’s was one thing that could ruin his day would be to think about all that.

Steve finish the talk giving a smile with way too many teeth to Hargrove before Billy got inside his car and the girl finally shook Steve’s arm off her but Steve gave her a soft smile.
